If you truly believed and repented, then you haven't lost the new life you received when you became a new creation in Christ Jesus. If you aren't sure you were born again and are a new creation, then to be born again, there really aren't any steps to take but, instead, it involves hearing the Good News and simply responding to it in faith by acknowledging your lost condition, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, repenting of your sins, and receiving Christ as your Savior, then confessing Him as your Lord.

Here are some scriptures that explain these things a little better.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Acts 16:30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Acts 16:31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

Isaiah 55:7 Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly pardon.

John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name:

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

1 John 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Romans 10:10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Mark 8:34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Mark 8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
Mark 8:36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
Mark 8:37 Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Mark 8:38 Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
Thank you for your support God is helping me in many ways to increase my faith and believe

..remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. (Ephesians 2:12-22)

There is so much truth here. We are brought near by the blood of Christ. He is our peace. He destroyed the barriers that separated us from God through His cross. We now have access to the Father by one Spirit. We aren't some kind of stranger and foreigner. We are fellow citizens with God's people and members of His household.

Do you have a relative that seems to know everyone? I'm going to pretend we have an Uncle Louis. He knows a famous football player that we all want to meet. We just have to meet this guy. We're in the stadium and the game is over. Uncle Louis takes our hand and says come on. He passes security, he's got a key to the locker room. He even knows some of the other players. We sit down, relax and wait with Uncle Louis. In walks this player we always wanted to meet. Uncle Louis says...Meet so and so! And the player knows Uncle Louis! Wow! They hug and we all have supper together and chat for hours. Next time we're in town, lets get together. It's like that with Jesus Christ. We now have access to God. Jesus Christ took you by the hand and said come with Me. He walked you past the angels and opened up the gates of heaven. You didn't have peace or access before, but because of His accomplishments, we now have peace and access to God.

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:1)

Love,

Mary
