All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I know when my husband comes along then God will let me know, but could he be someone I am not attracted to?

Or more importantly what is attraction in a Godly marriage?

The key to your first question is defining what is meant by attraction. In my opinion most, not all, define attraction by basing it upon looks, which often feeds our lusts, rather than upon the things that we have in common. Looks always fade, lust can wane and be transferred to someone else. The answer to your second question is relationships, lasting relationships, are usually built upon commonalities, and the most important is a unified relationship with the lord Jesus Christ.

Very good answer I agree . you should get to know a person and I've seen it were you first meet someone and wasn't attracted to them but over time you are and I think its because you get to know the person inside not outside. and looks change overtime with age and life and people change so i would rather get to know the person and their heart myself. just saying looks are not everything .

Hi Nicki my name is Steven, I would say attraction in a godly union would consist of a mental and spiritual connection, which may lead to a physical one, being that the person is not a full on gargoyle. Hey, even a beast can mesmerize when cliquing on all cylinders. If the physical attraction is of importance, which in most cases, to be honest, it is, then I would say at least share the same spirit, and work on the mental through compromise. Hope this helps.
