HOW DO YOU GET RID OF ANGER AND HUMILIATION?

Recently I have had problems in resolving hurtful words that were written to me by someone in a large company who owes me a lot of money. They are dragging their heels to pay my account and I am embarrassed as I have to settle accounts of my sub-contractors. I have had to redeem two of my policies and borrow money from my husband because I will not let my sub-contractors suffer. I have this small, insignificant, brokerage company which is based on Christian principles and I have been looked upon as somebody with integrity and, by the grace of God, I have never let anyone down.

Being a hyper sensitive person, I am easily hurt. And in the process of requesting payment of my long outstanding bills I ran into someone who wrote very hurtful remarks - almost making me look like the culprit and not the victim. But I have been working a lot on my hyper sensitivity as I often misinterpret a remark... I know that one day I will overcome this unnecessary low self-esteem and hyper sensitivity by God's grace (and a lot of hard work from my side). My father used to say : "God helps those who help themselves"... We cannot expect God to help us without putting in our own efforts...

I am writing this piece for people in similar situations as myself. And the advice I am giving is not only meant for those who would like to use it (or try it) but mainly for myself as part of my "growth and learning process"...

If criticism is mistaken as mean-spirited, rise above it. Maintain the high ground when you are under fire. No victory is worth winning at the expense of picking up the mud that has been flung at you and throwing it back.

HOW DO YOU GO ABOUT ADDING PEACE TO YOUR LIFE?
Learn the positive social skills of compassion, self esteem, caring, love, forgiveness, humour and tolerance. People who know positive social skills can handle conflict and violence. Practice and repetition of these skills will help you empower yourself.

What each of us can do is learn about the part of us that is hurtful to others or to ourselves. These ideas you help you learn to stand tall and be powerful!

Do not give MISERY a seat to sit on... Let go of anger - just give it a poke! Become more "thick-skinned" and you will be able to deal with criticism. Be a gentle, loving person, even if you are "mad".

Pray: "Holy Spirit, heal my mind. Give me forgiveness and a new way of looking at this. I forgive myself in my part of this situation and I learn so that I need not do it again... I surrender ...

Ten Things to Say To Help You Let Go

I refuse to take this issue into my central nervous system.
I turn this over to forces greater than myself.
I not giving this issue free rent in my brain anymore.
I forgive myself for being angry and I let it go.
Oh, well..... Whatever!
This too will pass.
Holy Spirit, heal my mind. Give me forgiveness and a new way of looking at this.
I forgive myself in my part of this situation and learn so I need not do it again.
I surrender this to Jesus.
I accept this behaviour in myself and I release it for my highest good.

Forgiveness: Letting Go of the Anger That Binds You
Forgiveness can never be imposed, willed or insisted upon by yourself or by any other...It can not be a should. Holding on to an ancient hurt manifests as a blockage of energy hidden in the body that plays itself out in the daily life.

There are three areas of forgiveness: that of our brother or sister, God or ourself. Each comes in turn according to the timing of the life. We can become quiet inside and turn things over to our God Almighty . After you have been released from the binding of unforgiveness you perceive the old hurt in a new way, saying, "Look, look at this....There are greater gifts waiting for you here."

We cannot find serenity when we are at war with someone or with ourselves. Nothing happens on this great, green earth, by mistake. Unless we accept our situation and learn from it, we cannot be happy. If we learn from it then we need not beat ourselves up.

Nor do we need to beat up others with blame words. We need only concentrate on our part of the situation; what needs to be changed in our way of thinking and having done so, happiness will follow.

May God bless me and inspire me to "do as I say" and to "mean what I say"... and many blessings to all who may be wrestling with the same problems...

Really why?? doyou have facebook or msn>>>>
I beleive as the scripture said in Ephesion 6:12 really works, when you understand how it works, you will know how to keep away from it: For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against rulers of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Read from verse 10 to 18. This teaches us that anger is not of God, it is a tresspassing spirit. The best way to deal with any situation is through the spirit of God, since we are not wrestling with flesh and blood, flesh and blood cannot fight against the trespassing spirit, this would only mean that the only way to deal with this spirit, is to fight with the spirit of God. What am I saying, we pray and read the word to overcome the things of the flesh. Anger is the flesh responding to a given situation. God know that the flesh will only bring us into shame, so he shows us how to defeat the things of the flesh, by using the word, for example, when He (Jesus) had fasted for 40 days, and was coming out of the wilderness. He been total man and total God was hungry as a man, in the flesh, the person of Jesus Christ. The enemy aproached Him and say to Him, if thou be the son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Jesus responded to him by using the word of God, He answered and said unto him, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by everyword that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Matthew 4:1-11. In other words Jesus is showing us how to be overcomers of the flesh and the things and ways of the flesh. By using the word of God we will cut, prone, and destroy the things of the flesh and the spirit of darkness as seen in Ephesians. God shows us that we can only fight the fleshy things and the spirit of darkness with the spirit of God. The major way to over come anger is to stay in the word, in prayer and submiting your flesh to God and walking in the will of God. In others words, to be lead by God, knowing that the steps of a Good man is ordered by the Lord. Psalm 37:23-24. I trust that was helpful, God bless you. email me for more info at: rescueme05@yahoo.com
DEAREST ANN
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR INPUT AND ALSO FOR YOUR E-MAIL ADDRESS... I APPRECIATE IT SINCERELY AND I WILL MAKE SURE TO READ ALL THE SCRIPTURES YOU HAVE RECOMMENDED WITH CONCENTRATION...

I LOVE THE PART OF THE BIBLE THAT MAN SHALL NOT LIVE BY BREAD ALONE... THIS MAKES ME WONDER WHY SOME PEOPLE DO NOT EVEN SAY GRACE TO THANK GOD BEFORE EATING? AND IT IS SO INTERESTING THAT YOU MENTION THAT JESUS WAS HUNGRY AS A MAN... HE BECAME POOR SO THAT WE MAY BE SAVED? A KING COMING DOWN TO POVERTY....

THANK YOU MY DEAR FRIEND AND I LOVE THE INPUT YOU MADE

GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES...
