All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Mary, a young peasant woman is chosen and answers God with a bold "I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Luke 1:38 NIV
Do you know a Mary? Is there a woman in your life who would answer this request just as boldly? :-)

Yes.  I know a Mary.  Her devotion to the Lord is inspiring.  Her name is Tara.  :-)

Yes I know a Mary and her name is Bridget and she is my sister. Her commitment to God is so amazing she has devoted her life to serving him and others. She has had two near death experiences but she does not faint in her walk seems as if it only makes her stronger. She is such an inspiration not only to myself but to so many. She is a bold woman of God who knows exactly what God has called her to do. So that is the Mary I know. :-)

I don't mean not to sound humble, but my first thought in answer to your question was "me".  From my earliest yrs I always believed in God and was very spiritually minded. I remember it used to crush me when I was a child and heard others use God's name in vain or the fact that they had absolutely no interest in discussing God or spiritual things.  I used to love horseback riding and when I would take a trail through the woods and saw the sunlight streaming through the trees,  I knew that was God letting me know He was there. He reached out to me in other ways, even sending an angel to me one day when I was 8 yrs old. The angel told me the most amazing thing that there was two ways to get to Heaven,  but no one can get there the first way, being sinless, so the only other way is to believe in Jesus. I didn't know what sinless meant so he asked me if I had had any spankings lately from my dad or told any little white lies- I got the point.  At 8 yrs old I had no idea who Jesus was since I was from a unchurched family,  so promptly forgot all about it until later in  my life.  I grew up not having any idea that Jesus = salvation.   I so much wanted to know God, but had no idea where to find Him. I don't think there was a day that I didn't wonder where He was to be found and wondered was He supposed to find me or was I supposed to find Him. I just know I always had this deep love for God and felt very special to Him. What a relief it was when I finally found Him! I know I thought to myself,  " I had a sneaking suspicion God that you were Jesus".  And then, of course  it was such joy to know I had finally found the missing part of my heart. In fact, not only was it joy, but it was such an abundant joy it could of launched a rocket ship to the moon lol!!! I did not come down for months and months, and even then, I have never lost my joy.  So, I don't know what made me so God-conscious from such an early age, just know I had the greatest love and highest respect for Him ever since I can remember, and since the day I was saved , could think of nothing else but what I could give up for God and how I could serve Him better. Being a Christian has never been boring for me. It's been  like the gospel song "He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days go by oh what a love between my Lord and I".
