All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

The 2011 end times prediction is a prediction made by Christian radio host Harold Camping that the Rapture (in Christian belief, the taking up into heaven of God's elect people) will take place on May 21, 2011[1][2] and that the end of the world as we know it will take place five months later on October 21, 2011.[3] These predictions were made by Camping, president of the Family Radio Christian network, who claims the Bible as his source and says May 21 will be the date of the Rapture and the day of judgment "beyond the shadow of a doubt".[4] His followers claim that around 200 million people (approximately 3% of the world's population) will be raptured.[5]

Camping's predictions have not been embraced by most other Christian groups;[6][7] some have explicitly rejected them.[8][9][10][11] Christianity Today reports that Camping's teachings have "drawn a flurry of attacks, including sermons, a January seminar in New York that drew 70 pastors, and a Web site (www.familyradioiswrong.com)."

Yes, I agree.  But it is certainly food for thought?

Ama -

I get what you are saying and I am not trying to become argumentative here about the topic at hand, but I really feel that as Christians we should hate such erroneous interpretations of the word. Some people get devastated but such un-biblical prophecies and others see Christianity as a joke due to them. I understand what you are saying and I am very much the same way as you are and like to examine most things and to get a taste of how the mind of others works to come up with the twists they come up with, but there are subjects like this one that upset me, because so many are hurt in the name of our precious Lord. But I do get what you are saying.

This is not the fist time this gu y anounces the coming of the Lord and he has been wrong before.

Love to you beautiful sis.

Actually Amanda...one of the 'problems' here...ist hat the guy has been 'right' before....not concerning 2nd advent...but of a pretty big even in history.  I forget what it was now.

But look at it on the bright side, it got David in a serious mood and he did not call me beloved.  (:

P.S.  Apparently He also predicted the last rapture we had in 1979.  (:

Hahaha hahaha you two better watch it hahaha I can go loco on you. :) Love you guys.

Rob - i been playing your vid over and over - love it. knock knock - Let Him in.... Hallelujah

Rob,

This is heartbreaking stuff. Many will be deceived the word tells us. My heart breaks for those that fall for such silly prophecies, but they are without an excuse. The bible is the most published book in the world. We have warehouses full of the word of God in this country. I own so many bibles, I forget I have some of them. But having one or a bunch of bibles means little to nothing, if we do not read it and apply its truth to our lives. God help us preach and teach sound doctrine with our lives and lips.

It is sad that people will fall for such foolishness and be deceived.

I am looking forward to hearing his spin on May 22nd as to why God changed His mind and has postponned the rapture.

Lord Bless,

LT

hahaha hahaha

Yeap - that will be something. Love you my brother.

Me too.  But, what if?  See you next week...either here or there.

David you are truely awesome...Thank you for posting that funny vid.  My first attempt on Youtube has got to be one of the funniest things I have done in years.

LT...I am also waiting to hear what happens the day after.  We have had a lot of 'day afters', after nothing happened.  Maybe he will just have his own personal rapture and 'be no more' like Enoch.  I will say one thing about Mr Camping though...the internet is sure buzzing about this.  Even if he is wrong....people are thinking about the Lord.

I have always thought of the days of Noah, if I were there I would have at least 'humored' the crazy old guy if it started raining heavy.  Maybe go have a cup of tea with the guy and talk about his boat.  If the rain stopped I could just go on with my day.

Ha ha...I haven't seen that video in a long time.  I wrote thast song intended to be a light-hearted ministry song for those who don't yet believe in Jesus...to 'let Him in'.  But his song most often 'ministers' to 'me'.  My own words come back constantly and speak to me to 'let Him in'.  No matter how long I have been a christian, it is always a good word; to let Him in.  Thanks again.  And thank you for a wonderful start for my morning, and it's off to church I go.

May the Holy Spirit fill everyone's hearts with worship this morning.  May the angel of God put a hot coal (praise) from the altar to your lips.  In the Name of Jesus

All I have to say is that whether God comes for his people now or later, we shouldn't be afraid, because we know God and we should be ready. God could take us in the night or anytime of the day. No one knows the time or season when things will take place. God will provide certain aspects to warn us of what is to come by his prophets, apostles, teachers, and true followers.
I believe many things will take place this year though. There's a lot of disasters taking place around the world and it's being noticed to the believer's of God. I'm sure God has given his word to his shepherds of what is to come to warn their sheeps to be prepared.
When all things takes place the way it should by God's will, we should trust God and believe in Him no matter what.
