All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I was talking to someone about being born again and he told me, God answers ALL his prayers. He saw being born again and talking about the power of the Holy Spirit as dramatic christianity. He ll rather be a christian the way he is than try to do a little more. What I saw, is that he is scared of commitments. He rather live a life of sin because Grace abound. Was it not for this reason that Paul said God forbid? He didn't let me speak to him. There are a lot of people out there like my friend.

The bible said in Rom.8:1 "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit".
Most often what I hear is the first part ( There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus). I guess this gives man assurance and we repeat it strongly all the time. Now what of the second part ( who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit)? Hmm! I hardly hear this part. We chose the armour that suit us.
Jesus said that a true Christian can be identified by their fruits or actions i.e by the way they live their life. "Ye shall know them by their fruits" Matt. 7:16.
This wonderful gift of salvation is the result of God's perfect love and grace towards man allowing man to be viewed as innocent and reconciled with to God and to enjoy the same kind of relationship with God that adam knew in the Garden of Eden. "For by grace are ye saved through faith and that not of yourself, it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast" Eph. 2:8-9.
We are Christians because we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and that He was raised from the dead. (Confess the Savior from sin.) Romans 10:9,10 Jesus has something I need. :-)

I wish that we could make people sit and listen. It's free will. And maybe that's why God loves me. I'll use me as an example. Sometimes I don't get why Jesus loves me. When I was feeling down for some reason and wondering why on earth would God ever want somebody like me, a soft voice said...You chose. It's true, with full knowledge and without any regret, I have chosen Jesus Christ.

We must all choose of our own free will. When your friend is ready to listen, he will listen. I believe in prayer. Maybe the time isn't right, but down the road, God may give you an open door to speak to him again.

God bless,
Mary
Thank you.

I have also seen christians similar to that. But paul said that we should to grow in the faith not to just stand still. Was this friend saved or was he saying that he thought being saved was dramatic christianity?
