Nothing of major value other than troubles with technical issues

I am having trouble keeping my photo on my profile. I can load the picture in, click on done and save but the next time I log on, the photo is gone. I just tried it again and the photo was there, noticed my birth date was gone so went in to fix that, after I saved that change, the photo was gone again. This has happened several times. Not that my photo is of anything of greatness but it would be nice to have it stay until a better one comes along, which could be awhile. Ha!! Thank you for any… Continue

God, I am not able . . . Christ is Lord

With respect to the broken relationship between my daughter and myself, I found some words that spoke to my soul this morning. It is from: The Unchained Soul by Calvin Miller. Here it is:"Two sentences must remain forever linked: God, I am not able; and Christ is Lord. How often I have seen these sentences of our insufficiency and his all-sufficiency follow hard upon the other." I confess that this is TRUE and Christ is Lord, the great Healer of all that is broken. I'll let the Lord fix this…

let go and let God

Hello, my Christian friends, out there - that I have yet to meet. This is a time of great adversity for me. I am really 'stuck' in self-absorption and fear. My daughter has unforgiveness in her heart to the point that she doesn't want me to see my 4.5 year old grandson. What is most comforting at this time is that I join in compassion for all the mothers and grandmothers who have seemingly lost a reciprocal love connection with the people we love the most. My balm is to 'let go and let God'.

South Africa

Although I have never lived outside of the African continent I am excited that the Lord has chosen me to live and take part in this exciting time in our countries history. There has been a lot of negative publicity on crime etc. in this country but the Lord has mighty plans for South Africa and I believe we will be the shining light to the rest of Africa.

South Africa is the only African country to have a transition from a white to a majority government without a civil war. Although…

Youthfull Evangelical's

Ok, everyone it's time again to let you know that I have been doing some serious thinking about Youth Evangelicals and how I think we are going to make an impact on this earth. For many years most politics have been based around religion and the has been used as the "edge" for most campaigns , which I think is absoltley a ridiculous meaasure to get some votes. If you've noticed liked me there has been a great fallen away of these mega churches where young people such as myself are no…

New in the Community

Hello, I am new to this community, not new as a Christian but believe I have a lot of room to grow in my faith as I continue to seek Him and find His will for me in my life. As I slowly creep along these pages, I will become familiar with everything so I hope you all will have patience with me. I finally figured out how to put my picture on my profile, had to do a lot of searching around before I realized the instructions were practically under my nose! I promise to update with a better photo… Continue

Five (5) lessons about the way we treat people.

1 - First Important Lesson - Cleaning Lady.

During my second month of college, our professor gave us a pop quiz. I was a conscientious student and had breezed through the questions until I read the last one:

'What is the first name of the woman who cleans the school?'

Surely this was some kind of joke. I had seen the cleaning woman several times. She was tall, dark-haired and in her 50's, but how would I know her name?

I handed in my paper,…

A Love Letter From Jesus To You

My little child, I love you. (John 15:9)

I have called you by your name, you are mine. (Isaiah 43:1)

Before I formed you, I knew you. And before you were born, I consecrated you. (Jeremiah 1:5).

You did not choose me, I chose you. (John15:16).

Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in good health, even as your soul prospers. (3rd John 2).

Because you are precious to me, and honored, I love you. (Isaiah 43:4).

I… Continue

A Letter To You From Satan

I saw you yesterday as you began your daily chores.

You awoke without kneeling to pray. As a matter of fact,

you didn't even bless your meals, or pray before going

to bed last night. You are so unthankful. I like that about you.

I cannot tell you how glad I am that you have not changed

your way of living. Fool! You are mine. Remember, you and I

have been going steady for years, and I still don't love you yet.

As a matter of fact, I hate you, because I hate… Continue

God Loves Ugly..

Have you ever felt ugly in front of God?

This is something extemely important to me and others who feel there not quite put together the right way either physically or mentally. The feeling of lonliness and heartache can take a toll on your well being. Imagine for a sec...what Jesus felt like living in a world pretty much alone, surrounded by ugly, immoral and a lost civilization. I want to say your not alone.

This is an encouraging note,

God loves ugly,…

The Net

At dawn the disciples saw Jesus standing on the beach, but they couldn't see who he was. He called out, "Friends, have you caught any fish?"

"No," they replied.

Then he said, "Throw out your net on the right-hand side of the boat, and you'll get plenty of fish!" So they did, and they couldn't draw in the net because there were so many fish in it.

John 21:4-6, NLT

This story in the book of John is a powerful and wonderful picture illustrative…

The Blessing Of Thorns

Sandra felt as low as the heels of her shoes as she pushed against a November gust and the florist shop door. Her life had been easy, like a spring breeze. Then in the fourth month of her second pregnancy, a minor automobile accident stole her ease.

During this Thanksgiving week she would have delivered a son.She grieved over her loss. As if that weren't enough, her husband's company threatened a transfer. Then her sister, whose annual holiday…

Ministry

You know this is a topic that I have always found to be amazing, alot of us think that in order to do great things for God that we should be in the forefront of everything all the time so everyone will see what we have done for Him. This really hits home for me as someone trying to figure out what my spirtual gift is and when studying this matter I have come to realize that I may have a calling into Ministry which is one of the Gifts From The Father.…

Are you really Free 2?

The Subject is freedom-and why we're not free. You've heard that Christ has made you free. You may have told others of your freedom. And you probably use the concept of freedom in your witness to those who don't yet know Christ. Sometimes however I fear that we define freedom in a way the restricts and binds more than it frees.

When Jesus used the word free(as in,"the truth will make you free"), he employed a term that means, "liberation from bondage". In other words, the Greek word…

Are you really Free?

Some of us think that being christians we are supposedly free, can you tell me what we are free from? As you ponder on that I wan't to take away the kicker. The Bible is quite radical, but most of us dont understand how radical it really is.

Paul writes " I know and I am persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in it self, but it is unclean for anyone who thinks it unclean" Rom 14:14. Paul writes again "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is,there…

The story is one of several very well-known parables of Jesus that are only found in Luke's gospel; and like the others, it expresses Luke's distinctive theology of the inclusive love and grace of God. The …
