What is one of your questions?
Why is it such a huge deal for Christians to watch horror movies if its tagged with horror but if the same thing is tagged as Christianity its perfectly ok for anyone to watch even kids?
So its a sin for us to watch chucky but if we want to watch people being shot to death or getting their heads removed from their bodies then thats perfectly ok? why?
As long as I can remember...........and I've been around the block a few times....horror movies have always been hot.
Back when I was a kid, it was the Wolf Man, Dracula, and Frankenstein that really scared all the kids....and some adults, too.
So, as the years went by, things had to get scarier and raunchier to keep horror films hot.
Now, since we are in the world, but not of the world.....it's easy for folks of all ages to go, or dial up these flicks.
Seems to me, if parents don't want their children to see this stuff, they would be declared off-limits.
I'm not sure who's doing the "tagging" on these films, but if a person knows what is in them they should be able to decide whether to see them or not.
Romans 14:22-23 tells us, " The faith which you have, have as your own conviction before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. (23) But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and whatever is not from faith is sin."
Okay Lashana, When God shows us something that seems wrong to us, we should avoid it. But we should not look down on other Christians who exercise their freedom in those areas.
Hope this is some help for you.
Grace and Peace.
