My story with God

As a young boy I lived above a store-front church in Cincinnati. Every day in the window there was sign there that displayed a verse. The verse was John 3:16. I had to pass by the window to climb the stairs to my apartment, so I read it everyday. It is the first passage of scripture I memorized. Funny thing, it didn’t mean anything then.. until I was married and invited to church by my wife. Every Sunday I sat in the pew it seemed the Pastor was preaching to no one but me.. No matter how hard I looked away, when I Looked up .. He was looking at me. It even reached the point where I struggled with continuing to come. One Sunday the message was the Cross of Calvary. Guess what the scripture passage was .. John 3:16.. Then it hit me.. I knew why that scripture verse was in the window.. I needed that cross and what it represented.. Confessing my sins, I gave my life to Christ, remembering the window.. and what the verse was all about..

I am a retired MSgt. with 22yrs in the USAFR. I worked 36 years with the City of Cincinnati. I have been married to the same lovely woman for 41 years, and have two daughters and eight grandchildren. I was Administrator at Norwood Christian Academy for 5 yrs.
