Reading and studying God's Word. I am now studying J. Vernon McGee's commentary on the Bible. I also love Matthew Henry.
I'm passionate about...
Surfing the web and finding Christian sites which help in studying more about the Lord. This is how I got into the Puritan preachers. I have all 63 volumes of Charles Haddon Spurgeon on disk. Arthur W. Pink has a site of his writings.
Other stuff about me:
I am a true "bookworm" and do from time to time read mysteries and science fiction.

Noreen,
Hi! I'm rather new to this site & I'm looking for other Christians to converse with now & then. I read a lot too. I like Spurgeon. Have you read anything by Fenelon or Madam Guyon? I like C.S. Lewis. I also like classic children's literature. It reminds me of the sweet days of reading to my children. I'm a grandma of 4 now. (Not very old, tho'!)

hi, Philippines is a great country to live in. Despite the crisis still I praise God. No, i don't have an American citizenship but with God's favor i desire to be there one of these days. God bless you.
Wonderful message of to day how are you to day i hope your doing well in Jesus name .
The word of to day from the Bible the book of Ephesians 3:16
According to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in you inner being.
Today, maybe you feel like you're in a prison. Maybe you feel shackled and chained to your past or to sin. Well, the power of God is available to lift you, strengthen you, and refresh you!
The apostle Paul was in jail when he wrote Ephesians 3:14-19. I call it a "prison prayer." But even though he was jailed, Paul never considered himself a prisoner of his circumstances. Whether he was in prison or being beaten or stoned or shipwrecked, Paul knew he was free in Jesus... no matter what his circumstances were.
In today's Scripture verse, Paul offers us the promise of strength. Then verse 19 says, "...that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."
Paul is talking about the power of the Holy Spirit who lives in every believer. And that includes you if you're a follower of Christ!
So how can you access this power? Through prayer!
When you pray, God begins to work in your life. And it's God in you that gives you power. Consider that a glove can't move or hold things on its own. It's only when you put your hand into the glove that it can be put to effective work. The strength of your hand becomes the strength of that glove. In the same way, Christ is the strength in you if you will allow Him to be!
You and I are empty without Christ. But when you allow Him to come and live in you, He fills your life. And when you access the power of God through prayer, He empowers you and strengthens you... no matter what your circumstances are!
My friend take care
God bless

Take good care after yourself, you are so loved here and so precious to God!
I have been an RN for 10 years and I am now in graduate school to obtain a Master's degree in Nursing as an Advanced Practice Nurse - Clinical Nurse Specialist. It is just not right to tag/stereotype people. I think you should go back to school for nursing, we need good nurses. I too feel I have been stereotyped for other reasons. It's hard, like you have to prove yourself to others. I keep praying that God will show me His way that I should go. Hope to talk with you soon! Claire
Thank you Joe-Gil for your kind response. It is such a blessing to share what our Holy Father sends. Blessings to you and your loved ones. Peace...........
I'm have patience that will extend to the ends of time. That is a virtue from our Father. I love to learn and pray and seek the souls, who seek the Father. My gift from my Father is ministry in encouragment, and teaching, but mostly encouragment. I am just a vessel to be moulded by His hands and faceted by His Grace.
Your message defintly resounds in my soul. The very essence of who we are comes from our Lord. Though our parents fell from Grace, His mercy lifted us up, set us upon the mountain of God. We are no longer slaves ,but friends of Christ. To be friends of Christ and Sons and daughters of His Father is somehow unparellel to what Jesus has done for you and I. We should be off the beaten path. For it is straight and narrow.
