I don’t think anyone would want to see our country torn apart by such a radical outfit as isis,. However we as Christian are not to be fearful of what man can do to us. Do we really believe what we say we do on all our currency? “In God we Trust”? Our trust certainly is not in the ability of the leadership, or this administration. Or any other man, or system for that matter. The Word says in 2Cor.10:3-6, For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds. Isis, as is also the devil, trying to instill fear in the rest of the world, including the USA, this is their main strategies “fear” Fear hath torment. Jo.4:18, they have built strongholds in most of the countries they have invaded. But I so strongly believe that if we would cast down all these fearful imagination we have of them, and do as it says in 2Cor.7:14, “If my people which are called by my name; would humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, I will forgive their sin, and heal their land”.

Have you been aware of the wickedness that is going on in this nation lately?

Isa 59:1 says Behold the Lord’s hand is not shortened that He cannot save, neither is His ear heavy that He cannot hear, but your iniquity has separated between you and your god, and your sin have hid His face from you that He will not hear.

It is way past time for America to repent, and turn our attention back to God.

Though we say these things and believe and hope for the best, but we must realize that we can’t go on forever as we have been. There is coming a time of reckoning, and I believe it is closer than most of us think.

What you said is something that has interested me. I have often wondered about Jonah. Nineveh repented and God did not destroy them. But all we hear is of the signs of the times and how Jesus is coming back soon. We know He will come back, but why are we in such a hurry to rush it? Paul wanted to be with Christ but it meant less souls he could help lead to salvation so he would have given up his own life for others.

Sometimes I wonder if we've gotten so tired that we're looking for this life to be over rather than pray for our leaders. Myself included.

I'd rather rag on Obama than pray about him. One of my favorite prayers is found in Psalm 109:8.

May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership.
I agree with everything JB said. Our country is constantly pushing out God and we need to pray for repentance and Gods help in restoring this country to one who honors him. As for ISIS, we should also pray for them. Paul, when he was Saul, was a terrorist some could say. He was persecuting the church but God called him to Himself and Paul was a changed man. Who is to say God cannot do the same to the people of ISIS?
We do need to be prepared though and pray that we will stand our ground and be a light of Jesus to all around.
