All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

I have noticed a problem with me.  It's been a very difficult problem because what I crave I can't get.  When I say I can't get.  I mean I get it ever.   I have noticed that I sin when I'm experiencing a combination of loneliness and sadness at the same time.  Usually this happens to me at night at the end of the week.  Many times it occurs over the weekend, and most of the time late at night.  I'm asking for prayer because I think this situation could be solved if I actually had someone here.  For those of you that have read my other posts, and have a picture in your mind what my life is like.  I don't need to give anymore explanation.  But I don't feel like writing a complete life diagram again.  This is a prayer room, and support room, so I'm hoping that I won't receive a bunch of blind suggestions, from people who don't already know stuff about me.

I also have another prayer request.  A "friend" of mine, from Social Anxiety Support, emailed me.  Her Dad just died of cancer.  She wants me to pray for her.  Please pray for her and her family.  Ask the lord to help this become something that brings her closer to Jesus.

Gregory,

You're on the right track with your last post (Sat.) -

James 4:10, " Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." (N.K.J.V.).

Finding good times for prayer and/or a quiet time with the Lord is difficult  sometimes.

I've initiated a schedule that works for me...........I rise early 6 days a week (4:00am). When I take the cat litter bag out to the trash barrel, I pull up a chair, look up at the stars and say, "Good morning, Heavenly Father"......and just have a one-way conversation with Him. Although once a "shooting star" passed by overhead........and sometimes a little breeze stirs. It's only just about 10 minutes.......the coming day.......things on my mind........praise and honor to His Holy name.....whatever....but this quiet time before the world wakes up really helps start my day.

Then, every night, BEFORE climbing into bed, I have my end-of-day talk with God.....again maybe 10 minutes or so.

I used to go to bed and pray.....and fall asleep in the middle of praying.......no good.

Greg, try some methods.....see what works for you in your relationship with the Lord.

Father God, we approach Your heavenly throne just now, in the name of Your only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ......We raise up Gregory to You....he's one of Your  believers, Father, needing special guidance and direction in his life. Help him to see what You have in mind to set His course in life. Father, we know that once he sets out in a new direction, that You will remain at his tiller, keeping him on course.

And also, Lord....please place Your loving, comforting arms around Greg's friend and her family during their time of bereavement. We pray that they will all be together again at another time, in another place....Yours.

This is our prayer in the Name above all names.......Jesus.
