Answering questions from Muslims

Hi Everyone, I really hope you can help me. I work with a muslim who is very knowlegable about all the faults in the Bible. He says that the Bible we have today was changed and is not accurate and that scriptures were changed to say that Jesus is the Son of God. He also says that nowhere in the Bible does Jesus say He is God but only that he is the Son of God.

I trully believe that the Bible is the true word of God but I can't answer all of the questions he poses such as apparent scientific facts that are in the Quran that have recently been discovered and so on.

Can anyone help me with this? I love Jesus very much but my faith is also being tested everytime I can't answer a question.

I was saying that is why one of the most important scriptures is John 3;16. This one text reveals the one thing we need to know above all else - namely that God's motivation is LOVE.

On the veracity of the Bible (and for the avoidance of doubt, I am talking here of the accepted Protestant Bible) I can do no better thsn refer you to Frank Turek's book called 'I don't have enough faith to be an atheist.' The proofs in there are complete and irrefutable.

Nevertheless I shall pray for you that our father gives you the wisdom and the right words to say to your colleague.

What I do know is that his book (not forgetting the co-author: Dr Geisler - sorry !!) is one of the most succinct and readable books on apologetics I have ever come across.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by deanna on January 14, 2008 at 11:33am: The muslim Koran is based on a lie-they believe Ishmael was taken up on the mountain instead of Isaac-- therefore making Ishmael the child of the promise, Ishmael and his mother had already been sent away from Abraham. Paul said not to debate Fables with unbelievers, Jesus affirmed he was the Son of God many times in the New Testament. They worship a false God, beware of people like that, pray for Jesus to touch his heart and The Holy Spirit to reveal the truth; ▶ Reply to This

I know now that debating with him will not bring to Jesus but rather me trying my best to show him the love of Jesus in everything I do each day and leaving it to the Holy Spirit to work in his heart.
