Pl tell me, is there even one born again believer who is on thier way to heaven, who is not GUILTY OF THE SIN mentioned in James 4:17?  With that I rest my case!

No child of God is guilty before God once saved, that is one of the reasons Jesus died ... to pay for our sin. Do you think so little of the blood of Jesus that you do not believe that it covers our sin? As a child of God there is now no condemnation (Romans 8:1)

Again, you still miss the main point that there is a difference between action and state of being. All children of God will fail and commit acts of sin, but that does not make them sinners as described in the Word. As a child of God they face divine discipline (Hebrews 12), but this is for our good, not condemnation.

The Word tells us that no sinner will enter heaven, only the righteous ... those made righteous by Jesus, not by our actions, for our personal righteousness apart from Jesus is described as filthy rags. You are looking at your life only through the lense of what you can do and missing the great truth of seeing what Christ has done already.

You can rest your case, but you have not made a valid point, because, again, you simply do not understand the difference between action and state of being.

I think it's difficult to understand that, upon becoming a new creation, one is justified -- considered in a right standing before God and no longer facing condemnation and the wrath of God -- but still must not excuse or justify or condone the times when they do choose to sin. Being freed from the slavery of sin means one can now choose to live righteously. Certainly, it is a battle between the flesh and the Spirit. We have 1 John 1:9 when we fail. We understand that our sin has natural consequences in life and we also understand that God chastises His children, not to exact a penalty for the sin but to train in righteousness so that future acts will be done correctly. We are being trained in righteousness.

Pl. let me add this:

Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
Then answered Simon, and said, Pray ye to the Lord for me, that none of these things which ye have spoken come upon me.
Here are a few other words:  Go, seek, find, run, walk etc:  are they not words pertaining to some  WORK to be done?

Again, what does these two verses have to do with our subject. Please  note that Acts 8:24 are the words of Simon the Sorcerer ... he is an example only of a person who wanted power, misunderstood Christianity altogether as he tried to buy the presence of the Holy Spirit working through Peter.

We have been talking about the difference between the act of sin and the state of being a sinner.

Yea, those came out of left field & fell flat as far as this discussion goes.

Let's say the end of the world is just about to come and one reads  (Rom. 3:23) For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;============Would not the verse still be valid at the time?  Wouldn't it mean that all human beings have sinned all the way down from Eve and Adam to the very moment of the end of human history?

Being born-again changes our sinful nature. We go from being spiritually dead to spiritually alive.

Spiritually dead only in this present life.

Spiritually ALIVE 100 % for the life in heaven...partly only for this present life.  Why?  Because the Holy Spirit has made my body a Temple for Almighty God.  The temple needs cleaning because it is still on earth.  The Holy Temple in Jerusalem had cleaners (Levites)  to clean it.  Even the Holy of Holies had to be cleaned of dust and insects.

That is the whole point ... not sinners, but saints who can still in the flesh sin. Committing a sin in the flesh once a child of God does not make you a sinner (state of being), but rather a child of God (state of being) who needs divine discipline. You may be finally starting to get it.

Give me a verse that says the Holy of Holies had to be cleaned. The Word of God says that the High priest was the only one to enter and that only once a year and that only after specific preparations.

Who cleaned the Holy Temple...even if it was once per year?  Not the High-priest because they were not assigned that job...the Levites had that job.   Asking me to show a verse from the Bible is like asking me to show from the Bible all the acts of Jesus Christ.  No can do!  Because the last verse of  John 21 tells me so. :" And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen."

So, therefore you cannot prove that the Holy of holies was cleaned as you assume there were bugs, etc in there were the presence of God resided for Israel. Yet, from Scripture we can clearly see that only the High Priest was allowed in and that only once a year. So, let me see ... I have what God's Word says and what you assume must have happened ... which one will I go with??? Hmmm ... sorry, but I think I will stick with the Word.
