Note on the upcoming changes

I understand that the idea of change tends to cause stress for numerous people. What I would like to do is first say at this stage that we really are not making changes, but adding options. Some will not be interested in or capable of engaging in Hangout on air meetings. That is OK. To my knowledge all of the current functions on TheNET will remain the same for you to be able to uses as before.

So again to ease some of the concern I again would like to say that I hope you view these additions as opportunities and options, but what you have come to enjoy here on TheNET should still be there for the foreseeable future. There will be no pressure placed on you to engage in the other ... not my style.

Yall are so cool.   I am leaving tonight to go to my daughters . I think this will be the first time " besides going out after midnight to check mail two or three times a month' that I have left the house since before Thanksgiving. So I wont be able to attend this one and I really wanted to peek in. I think I am on google plus for yt but Im not sure. I never sign out yt because I cant remember password. Maybe I can get my grand son to help me figure out the google thing.  I am excited about all this too. It actually causes me to tear up thinking about it. You have no idea how this will not only help the ones who already attend a church but help ones who are unable to go. I cant wait to see yall and hear yall. Thank you for doing this LT.

There are only 10 spaces available to take part in the live discussion, but any number of people can "sit in" and watch the live feed.

That is correct. In the early phase we want to limit it to the 10 participants as we practice using Hangouts. Eventually we will move to what you have shared as well as utilizing Youtube. There are so many positive possibilities for this tool to be used for God's glory. For some of us this is pretty new and we know there will be some missteps and a learning curve. I have found the course developed by All About Hangouts to be very helpful. The next step for me is to put those principles into practice.

I can't get on...my computer keeps saying that it won't allow me access because it might not be secure.  My computer has been acting up with video's and such as well....any advice, I'm very discouraged right now.  It won't even let me access my email on the laptop.  It's been frustrating and I'm certainly not a tech person.

I am so completely bummed out right now.

I think I finally figured out what is wrong with my computer.  I ran my antivirus...and my calender and clock were wrong.  My calender was reading that it was 11/7/2014 and my clock was totally off.  I had signed up while I was at work...so I would be ready to go when I got home.  I am still so disappointed. 

As soon as my computer is finished updating, I will see if that message is gone.

Hi Watchman,

Sometimes it helps to run a 'system restore' on your computer.  If you can pinpoint the time when things started to go wrong, you can restore your system prior to those things.  You may want to backup your files, but if you restore it to one day prior to the virus (or whatever it is) your files will remain unaltered.  I did this for my son's computer last night...somehow he had picked up a virus.  It was a quick repair, and his computer was back to normal within 5 minutes....sometimes it takes longer.
