Wonder if the soldier came to Christ when He healed his ear that Peter cut off?

Tammy, good question.

Here's your answer:

No, this trooper ran straight back into town and started forming a movement for knife control.

He had a problem drawing interest because of wanting to show some evidence of knife violence.......but his ear was like new. And most people did not understand the difference between semi-automatic knives, and fully automatic knives.

He did receive many compliments about how nice his ear looked though. A couple of folks said one ear looked much better than the other. That one, of course, was the one Jesus put back.

This guy did convince the Roman authorities to impose the Jews in registering their knives. Years later, the knives were all confiscated when the Jews revolted in A.D. 70. This resulted in a weapons shortage, enabling a Roman victory in destroying Jerusalem.

And it was all Peter's fault..............

What else do you want to know, Tammy?

Grace and Peace.

ROFL!  That'll teach her not to ask crazy questions again.

Well, no it won't. It hasn't stopped me after 50 years. I just don't ask you any of them.

HILARIOUS

Oh, and Tammy, thanks for asking the crazy question!!! Please, keep em' coming!!! :~)

Tim gives me a hard time about my crazy questions.

Please tell Mr. Tim that no question is ever stupid. That is how we learn by asking questions. Love ya tons Mater

Love you too

You got that right Chelle. Will pst confess? Yesm after a few years. So to get the point across means/

I never thought about this question before . I wonder now if he did go to Jesus.  These days, there have been many miracles done for people who don't believe , yet they still denounce the Lord. That's what I hear anyway. IMO people will hate no matter what.  But back then I am sure the soldier must have heard of Jesus and His love for all and then to experience being healed... wow... That is a good question Tammy. Maybe you will know when you get to heaven.

I would say he did not else the Scripture would have said so just as we're told many came to Jesus to heal them.  My feeling is the guy was probably down on his knees screaming in agony and hold his missing ear in his hand and Jesus went to him and healed him cause He had pity and compassion on him.

Absolutely! Well, maybe not "absolutely" but it is surely a possibility. This is the last miracle of Christ that He performed before His death, resurrection and ascension. Malchus had a high position in the Jewish government. He would have been extremely valuable to the Caiaphas administration. What an advantageous strategic situation is presented here as another break in the wall is causing this administration to crumble. Many of the Jewish religious leaders did come to believe in Jesus. Perhaps Malchus was instrumental in that. He would have had quite a testimony.

Then, again, Jesus may have been showing us how to love our enemies.
