The Will of God

After a person is saved there is nothing more important in their life than knowing and doing the will of God. If you miss the will of God, you can’t truly be called successful for you have wasted the life that God has given you.

Feed Right

One evening, a Cherokee elder told his grandson about the battle that goes on inside people’s heads.

He said, “My son, the battle is between the two ‘wolves’ that live inside us all.

One is unhappiness. It is fear, worry, anger, jealousy, sorrow, self-pity, resentment, and inferiority. The other is happiness. It is joy, love, hope, serenity, kindness, generosity, truth, and compassion.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “Which wolf wins?”

The old Cherokee simply replied:

“The one you feed”.

Set Your Mind

Now set your mind and heart to seek (inquire of and require as your vital necessity) the Lord your God --- I Chronicles 22:19

Have you “set your mind” today?

In other words, when you woke up this morning, did you make the decision to focus on good things and to follow God with all your heart?     If we don’t set our minds, if we don’t purposely focus our thoughts and energy, then chances are, we’ll be bombarded by the cares of life.

We’ll be tossed back and forth by every situation we encounter.

We’ll be distracted by every phone call, upset by the traffic, offended by what someone said, and we’ll get off the course God intended.

We’ve all heard it said that the best defense is a good offense.

When you proactively set your thoughts, you are putting yourself on the offense.

You are taking charge of your life.

You are being an on-purpose person.

You’re redeeming the time.  Make the decision today to set your mind on things above.

Set your mind on God’s eternal purposes so that you can stand in the victory He has for you.

Grace Mercy, praying for her has helped. Awhile back she actually brought a subject up! Praise God!

I have to ask. Can you guys please pray? That He keeps me in all humility and helps me to know what His will is concerning a very big concern in life right now? I'm really not sure what to do so I need to ask for prayer.

Sometimes, circumstances can make smiling really difficult but our God is good all the time. When the Lord is consulted about our circumstances, He is ever faithful and shows us a way out. Smiling/ laughter is good for the soul.  He gives us many reasons to smile in gratitude for all the Love and grace He pours on us.

Blessings

Proverbs contains two of the greatest verses on the power of smiling?

Proverbs 15:13  A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.

Proverbs 15:30  A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones.

In the first verse, He says that happiness comes from the heart.

In other words, if you choose to be happy on the inside, it will show on the outside!

In the other verse, it says the converse idea...that when you choose to have a cheerful look, then your heart will be joyful. In other words, put a smile on your face and you will also feel good on the inside!

So, put a smile on your face...not only will it encourage others to do the same, but you will feel good and probably have a better attitude for doing it.

There may be times that you think "I don't have anything to smile about." When you feel this way ask God what you have to smile about. He will be faithful to show you!

You are right Dan, our relationship with our neighbours count in the end.  Let us pray that the Lord opens our eyes to the needs of people around us so that we can share with them, the gifts that the Lord blesses us with; for it is in giving that we receive.

God bless
