All About GOD

All About GOD - Growing Relationships with Jesus and Others

Scriptural Readings: Mark 5:24-28

What are we going to do when we arrive in times of need? We are of course having a very sure clear cut of our intentions. This is of course the normal, natural and human way.

v.24 And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him

V.25 And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

V.26 And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

V.27 When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind and touched his garment.

Just like this woman, who I believe represents us this modern times had a need of time of healing which I think is very normal. It is natural for us to find healing because this is the human way.

Now we ask a question. Why is it that in time of needs God seems to be far from us. We are in the brink of death and we are still waiting for God's answer. We have claimed the healing and victory on every sort of problem in our lives but still nothing awaits us.

If one would think it was the right time for her to heal. I think it is not. It could not be the right time for her to touch the garment of our Lord Jesus. She could have been pushed away from the Lord Jesus and the possibilities would be countless. How was she able to come close?

God knows her and her eagerness to heal and the arrival of Jesus is God's time and will. We know in the story that she had been to a lot of kinds of doctors and she exhausted all her efforts and money and yet left suffering. God knew she was desperate during those times. God could have healed her earlier.

V. 28 For she said, if I may touch bit his clothes, I shall be whole.

It was God's will. This was the exact time and God's will that she has to touch the garment of Jesus. Her eagerness has now aligned with God's will.

We have to put in mind and it should be the primary intention for us to know God's will. We should have the attitude of Your will be done not mine.

Have we experienced this? Are we having the same predicament today? We know that there will be healing. We know and we claim with our faith that God had the answer but we do not know His will thus making it more important to know His will first. The healing we are having is not just for the purpose of healing. There will be more favoring us. God will heal us from inside out.

A crisis is a thing that blinds us from realities. Our main focus at once or immedeately is how to get rid of this, again this is normal. We seek the natural and trust our human ways instead of being spiritual first.

Our God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will never leave us nor forsake us. He knows everything but the thing is that we are always occupied by our own human knowledge and ways 24/7 which can never and ever will be the solution to our problems.

Let us spend more time on spiritual matters. Let us draw near to our God and He will draw near to us. The Holy Spirit is our comforter and He is always with us as Jesus promised. What could we ask for more.

Heavenly Father, let us know your will and let your will be done. Teach us not to rely on our futile ways and give us Your wisdom that we may follow Your given path for us. Let your Holy Spirit flow through us that we may do Your perfect will. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!
