Being a light to others

My name is Carissa. I feel like God is calling me to help others in a certain situation. The first thing I will do before helping someone is to seek God's face and asking him to give me the right words to say. God has called us to be a light to others by sharing his story with the hurting and the broken. I do think it's important to help people in need and bring them out of darkness into the light. On March 31st of this year 2015, I saw the movie Do you believe? It's about 12 different people's lives and how they intersect at some point. There was a question that was asked in a sermon and that question was do you believe in the cross of Christ? I do and being on the christian walk can be hard at times. These people had lost their way about trusting in God and later get back in touch with Jesus. I got emotional when I saw this movie. It made me think of my relationship with Jesus Christ. Yes, we all struggle and may give up on God at some point, but he will always welcome us back with open arms. God is here 24-7 to help us when we cry out to him for help. He wants us to cry out to him in times of need and to get us through the many storms of life. So if know of anyone who is need of help let me know.
