Dear Linda,
I hope your sister and family has a safe journey with their travels. Yesterday, my husband and I went to the doctor. He has been suffering with lower back pain and my neck has really been bothering me. However, we did visit Barnes and Noble and I was able to talk to the author. Since I'm part Native American I bought his book, Walking the Trail of Tears. Its an excellent book. Some of my ancestors were Cherokee and the others were Black Foot and Creek. Some people even say we have Semonlie(cant spell)lol
Anyway, I'm going to listen to his lecture today. When I was in college I did my research paper on The Trail of Tears. Anyway, I hope u have a super and blessed day.

Hi Linda, You have a great influence as a grandmother in your grandsons life. Inspite of all my parents put us through, (read my story in my blog) it was my grandmother and great grandmother who influenced me the most.

Who knows God might use your grandson to bring freedom to your daughter. God heard that dedication prayer that day and the prayer of of agreement is strong.

I have some friends whose children would not follow the Lord, but they let the their parents bring their grandchildren to church just to get a break, plus they did all they could do to be in their lives as much as possible. This is what my grandmother did and I am forever grateful because my sister and brothers might have died from our extreme neglect.

So i pray with you for your daughter and grandson. I pray that this mother will be completely delivered from the addiction to drugs, alcohol, and this destructive lifestyle. I also pray for your beloved grandson that he will see the light of life in you and give his life to you at a young age. For this purpose you were manifested to destroy the work of the enemy in this family. Father there are countless testimonies of drug attics being set free, so we pray for this family to be touched with freedom in Jesus name amen.

What a great testimony about your wonderful Godly parents.
I lost my dad 9 years ago who I saw come to the Lord after living a very ungodly life when he was 61. My mom also came to faith 11 years after I was saved. She past away a year and a half ago. It was my mother's Grandmother who was born again first in my family, then me her great grandson when I was 15. Then Lord used me to bring many members of the family to faith.
God is so patient and kind to sinners like us, providing us with this wonderful gift that I have been trying to comprehend for 34 years. All I know is that God is a good God. Praise his name for ever!

In the love of Jesus
Bob

Dear Linda,
Good morning!!! I would love to send you the autumn card. I once had the opportunity to visit N.Falls. My dad took me there when I was 17. I will never forget that beautiful place. N.Falls is one of my best memories with my father. At that time, my father was in good health. We walked around N.Falls and had ice-cream. My dad took me to the restaurant in the sky. Also, my father took me through one of the caves. I will never forget N.Falls!!! You are so lucky that you can visit N.Falls. Maybe one day, I can go back and visit. I'm so glad we are friends!!!!

Hi Linda, I have heard of the Inkwell as I have been invited there, but have not added another group. God has been training me me in writing for a while now. I plan on maybe publishing a devotional one of these day myself. I have also wrote a extended article on spiritual abuse that many have told me to publish. Doing that seems like such a monumental step sinse I have only been writing for a couple of years.

Thank you for your lovely note, I pray that your book will be a blessing to many. God bless you and your family.

THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH

"The joy of the Lord is your strength.” ( Nehemiah 8:10b )

"And the singers sang aloud, with Jezrahiah their overseer. Also that day they offered great sacrifices, and rejoiced: for God had made them rejoice with great joy: the wives also and the children rejoiced: so that the joy of Jerusalem was heard even afar off." ( Nehemiah 12:42-43 )

All the people had been crying as they listened to the words of the Teachings in chapter eight of Nehemiah. They were slaves in a land that was promised to them, they had forgotten the Word of the LORD, and even though the walls of Jerusalem had been rebuilt, their hearts broke as they heard and understood the Word of the LORD and realized that it was all due to their disobedience.

Here we see how they were instructed not to soak in their despair and sorrow, and it was at this point that the statement was made, “The Joy of the Lord is your strength.,” Holy sorrow is precious before God, and is no bar to godly joy, it is actually a stepping stone. Joy is awesome when it is released in our hearts.

I can remember when the Word of God was presented to me a lost, broken, hopeless, sinner at 15 years of age. I received it, and excepted Jesus as my only Lord and Saviour and the joy that comes from the Lord flooded my soul. I had no emotions to express it at the time, I felt like crying and laughing at the same time. I can remember that day I had a song in my heart and sang the only religious song I knew, “I Saw The Light.”

God had made the Children of Israel rejoice with great joy! The joy of Jerusalem was heard even a far off! They had joy, they still had a lot of things to overcome, but they had the joy of the Lord which was their strength.

David in his prayer of repentance in Psalm 51 prays for the Lord to restore the joy of his salvation.
He also prays, “But I have trusted in Your loving kindness; My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.”
( Psalm 13:5 )

With out the joy of the LORD in our lives it is like running an automobile without oil. We need the joy of the LORD like we need food and water to survive.

“And the disciples were continually filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.”
( Acts 13:52 )

“For God's kingdom does not consist of food and drink, but of righteousness, peace, and joy produced by the Holy Spirit.” ( Romans 14:17 )

“Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you will abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” ( Romans 15:13 )

PRAYER
Father I thank you so much for joy, it is a wonderful gift that you choose to give to your children. Truly the joy of the LORD is our strength. Father I thank you for that day when I first partook of that joy when I was born again and the Holy Spirit took up residence in my life, my sins were wash away, and I became a sinner set free and forgiven. In the name of Jesus I pray with thanksgiving, amen
