At 8:44pm on January 9, 2010, Mary O said…: A friend of mine was engaged. He used their engagement to get his way. Anything she disagreed with, the engagement was off. She was a nervous wreck. I finally had to take her by the hands and say girlfriend he doesn't love you. He never did. They were constantly fighting. I'm like...God do I have to say these words? These were the last words I wanted to say to her. An engagement should be a time of joy. I know those words burnt in her heart. I posed this question...Since marriage is an example of the mystery (Christ in you and the one body) is this what you want your marriage to say to the other believers? She said, "No." So thinking it through, then something has to change in the relationship or you just aren't right for each other.

I've had two instances last year where I had to do that. I don't know what this year will bring. I don't want to promote couples breaking up, but the relationships were already broken. I just delivered God's message.

Thanks for listening. It does feel much better to talk about it.

At 2:57pm on January 8, 2010, Mary O said…: That's a pet peeve of mine when believers get their heart broken. Christians have almost forgotten how to treat each other as far as boyfriend/girlfriend. Recently I've noticed harsh break ups amongst Christian boyfriend/girlfriend, two last year. To me it's abusive and a crying shame.

Sorry about the soapbox. I don't mean to. I just feel so strongly about it. I will pray for Johnray.
