Poem: Called to Worship (IX)

Know that your brokenness can be healed

and that your wholeness can be restored.

Reaffirm your divine covenant today,

by completely trusting upon the Lord!

Seek a vital relationship with God now;

be thankful for His daily grace and mercy.

Realize and understand His intentions for you;

Open your eyes and observe what He sees…

regarding His plans, already laid out;

through prayer, request spiritual guidance.

Recognize your heavenly position…

Gospel = Radical.  Intro to Matthew.

Gospel = Radical.  Intro to Matthew.

THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING.  What does that statement mean to you?  Unpack it a moment—what has come along to change everything in your life from that moment forward?  Getting your college degree or masters or even PhD is an achievement that cannot be taken away and…

Amid The Dazzling Confusion

The religious atmosphere of the present time is much changed from what it was in my younger days; and I may be allowed to note the difference. The theological crisis through which we are passing is a peculiar one, such as the men of fifty years ago would have thought very unlikely; and I wish to mark some of its more important characteristics.…

this Changes Everything

This Changes Everything.  Titus 2.11, 1-10

Why the Gospel?  We are on the brink of the Gospel of Matthew--why read the Gospel (which means Good News) of Jesus coming into the world?            ->      What difference does it make—or does it?

One of the strongest cases for Christianity is the radical life-changing power it wields.  Have you ever known anyone who was ‘hard after it’ in terms of worldly passions and pursuits, who was radically changed by the power of the… Continue

THE REFINERS FIRE

Ten thousand enemies cannot stop a Christian, cannot even slow him down, if he meets them in a attitude of complete trust in God. They will become to him like the atmosphere that resists the airplane, but which because the plane's designer knew how to take advantage of that resistance, actually lifts the plane aloft and holds it there for a journey of 2,000 miles. What would have been an enemy to the plane becomes a helpful servant to…

"The hope which is laid up for you in heaven."

"The hope which is laid up for you in heaven."

Colossians 1:5

Our hope in Christ for the future is the mainspring and the mainstay of our joy here. It will animate our hearts to think often of heaven, for all that we can desire is promised there. Here we are…

Poem: Religious Exercise

One sure way to escape sin’s perdition

is to be not trapped by human tradition

that hinders the outpour of God’s spirit,

when searching for one’s heavenly lift.

For sheer knowledge of religious minds

can impede the heart flow of the Divine.

For the truest Love require action of us,

besides Faith’s development in Whom we trust.

A genuine journey of spiritual relationship

comes from Christ’s sacrifice and friendship,

when we completely…

Poem: The Color of YHWH

A new search is ongoing,

with Israeli chemists on a trek;

they seek find the color of God,

which was formerly called tekhelet.

Is its significance a harbinger

of future Messianic times?

Can the rabbis or scientists

decipher this dividing line?

It’s an enigmatic shade of blue

that represents God’s infinity

caught between the color spectrum

of visible light and invisibility.

Some experts believe the source,

(though the…

Promise

"Promise" I have seen many people disappointed because someone made a promise to them and wasn't able to fulfill it, that cause them to say promises are just made to be broken! But this time, I found it the other way around, Promises are made and needs to be fulfilled or else suffer the consequence especially if you made to God. Ecclesiastes 5:4 says", When you make a promise to God, don't delay in following through, for God takes no pleasure in fools. Keep all the promises you make to him."…
