Your Heart, a Rebel, by: Frances J. Roberts

You have been acting as though you supposed you had to stand alone, in your own strength. You have experienced My help innumerable places and situations. Why should you think that now, in this place, you must stand alone? No, you can never stand alone anywhere. You cannot solve any problem while you hold it in your own hands. Commit it to Me.

Commit THIS to Me. COMMIT it to ME. It is the only way. Your thoughts will deceive you, and your heart is a rebel. Fears assail and doubts… Continue

Hidden Resources, by: Frances J. Roberts

There is no alternative for faith. You have need of testings to develop your character. There is no other way. Avoidance of stress genders weakness. Accept the trials of life as they come, and look for the good in each. Only in this way can you advance and grow in stature.

Only through much self-discipline and self-denial can you gain the victory. Undergirding you are My promises, and in them you shall find strength. Look not within yourself, for of yourself you can bring forth no… Continue

The things that touch my heart; a collection of thing that were shared with me

NAILS IN THE FENCE

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to… Continue

John 3:16

"For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life."

My word! Who could do a series on the greatest Bible verses ever and not mention John 3:16? I mean, seriously, this verse is the foundation of our faith- the belief that Jesus Christ is indeed God's only son and that he died on a cross for our sins that we might have life everlasting! Not eternal damnation- eternal salvation through Jesus Christ!… Continue

The Simplicity of Obedience (by: Frances J. Roberts)

You need not search for answers to the many mysteries of life, but only trust and follow Me in the simplicity of obedience. Understanding will come to you as you walk in obedience.

Make Me your goal, and wisdom shall be given each day as needed. Do not try to reverse the order.

Project Blessing (by: Frances J. Roberts)

Borrow nothing of tomorrow's trouble. By anticipating evil you may create the same. Project blessing, and blessing will come to you.

Leave every anxiety at the foot of the cross. I have not exhausted My resources in helping you. Your faith is flagging. Back to the Word and strengthen your soul with heavenly manna.

I will keep you and bless you, and you shall bear My words of comfort to others.

Integrity a Sacred Charge by: Frances Roberts

There is a way that you must go because of faithfulness to Me. All you do, let it be as unto Me. Never do anything as pleasing men, but do all for Me and for My glory. Thus, and only thus, can your heart be kept at peace, and only in this way can you honour Me and bring forth fruit.

My Name is as perfume. Let it ever be upon your lips. Speak of Me often, and all other relationships shall be hallowed.

The integrity of your own heart is your most sacred charge. Guard this… Continue

Valid points to consider....

Some e-mails are junk...some are funny, some uplift and offer encouragement. Although this particular e-mail I received today is not necessarily overtly Christian with it's words, I believe most of the statements reflect biblical truths and are valid points to consider...it made me think and reminded me to be grateful to God for all the blessings He bestows, even those disguised as painful experiences. Perhaps you've read this before, I think I have, but it never hurts to be reminded of these… Continue

Fellowship, by: Frances J. Roberts

The night is dark and growing darker. This is why you must not go alone. This is why you have need to stand together, to pray together, to encourage each other and to be in communication with those like-minded. you need to be in contact with as many as possible of these, My 'peculiar people'. Think not that you are overextending yourself. You have not even begun to enter into what I have for you by way of associations and Holy Spirit fellowship.

Be not hindered. You are being held by… Continue

"When Jesus steps out on a cloud to call His children!"

"The Midnight Cry"

The time is very near when Jesus will step out on a cloud to call His children...and we'll be going HOME! Please watch this video. It's TRUTH. This is the incredible Michael English and the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. I, too, sing this song. Michael English is my role model for it, and my longing for that soon-coming "Cry" is my… Continue

Look Deeply, by: Frances J. Roberts

My child, look deeply within your heart, and much will be revealed. You are dull of hearing, having heard so much. I have other ways of dealing. Many things will become clear to you as you look into your innermost being. It is a storehouse of wisdom. Fear it not, for it is a deep pool of divine life because I Myself reside there.

I will teach you in symbols as you learn to see in the Spirit. You shall discover many treasures that have been stored and forgotten and lie waiting to be… Continue

Job 33:4

"The spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life."

In my last blog I noted how God was the fundamental creator of all. As you can well infer, you are most certainly included in the mix! If you ever lose your way in life, remember where you came from. The Lord knit you in your mother's womb; he breathed the breath of life into your nostrils. What an awesome feeling to know that the Lord of All Himself hand-crafted you to perfection, regardless if you or the… Continue

Treasure...where is yours?

Today I read an interesting article about sunken treasure, remnants of a shipwreck, recently discovered off the coast of Africa. The coins, copper, ivory tusks and pieces of the shipwreck are over 500 years old.

Archaeologist, Dieter Noli, who is studying some fragments of the ship as well, noted that evidence of lead patching strips show the ship was old when it went down. The wood that the ship was constructed of was worm eaten and weakened and as well. Because of the poor… Continue

back in college and terrified

College is a scary, terrifying, and wonderful place. I thank God for allowing me to go back to college. To be what he blessed my talents to be. College is exciting, challenging, competitive, and wonderous all at the same time. I pray that i can get through each day with God. As i struggle with learning new things. I pray for God to allow me to understand all the updated material. I also pray that i can get through to some of the kids and at 18- 20 they are kids to me. That drinking, drunks, sex… Continue

The Winds of Change

Things are always changing. Sometimes it is fun and exciting, but sometimes it is painful and maybe a little scary. My life is going through some major changes right now.. I'm not sure what the future holds but I know that God is leading and that He has a purpose. If I take my eyes off of Him my circumstances look daunting, but with my eyes securely set on Him it is easy, just to allow the Wind to blow me where it will. But I am afraid, this is the first time I've had so much to "lose?". In the… Continue

Kept Women...

I got this in an e-mail today, it really gave me a boost...a nice way to start my day...

Are you a Kept woman?

You see, there were a few times when I thought I would lose my mind,

but GOD kept me sane. (Isa. 26:3)

There were times when I thought I could go no longer,

but the LORD kept me moving. (Gen 28:15)

At times, I've wanted to lash out at those whom I felt had done me wrong,

but the LORD kept my mouth shut. (Psa.… Continue
