Be WARY!

Watch and pray! I was doing some research on the end of times and the rapture and prophecies leading to it. I want to warn you all fo something very strange to me. There is a guy out there that matches every prophecy spelled out in the Bible to be the Anitchrist. He's not in power yet, nor is he trying to take over as such. However, the biggest most powerful economical supporter of the entire world and biggest political power is supporting him. He probclaims peace and he has devised a plant… Continue

Grace in the pigpen.

January was a good month.  I’ve been doing regular quiet times.  I’ve been meeting for breakfast with a good friend I trust.  I finished the first two versions of my next book.  I took my kids on dates and made more time for my wife.  I lost 10 pounds and have been eating healthier.

I was mentally reviewing that list in my head the other night walking out of the office when I bumped into a tragic lie I was unaware I still believed.

As I left work, I thought to myself, “God must…

HAVE FAITH IN GOD

HAVE FAITH  IN  GOD

Our Scripture reading is found in the Gospel of Luke 18:  1- 8 and note the question asked by our Lord Jesus Christ – shall I find faith on earth when I come?

Note the question of Jesus for this is important,…”when He comes?” for we need LIVING faith when He comes.

These are the days He is talking about and these are perilous times when many are falling away and losing sight of God due to various…

My Christian Journey

As I was reading Matthew 7 this morning, I thought about how if I put all of Jesus's words into practice, I will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock.  I should not judge people (like Christians who are alcoholics) or I too will be judged for something.  I should not give my thoughts about the Bible or other Christian things to unbelievers.  If I do, they may criticize the Word of God, and then turn and try to convince me that the Word isn't true.  I should treat others the way I… Continue

The Marriage Ring....Simple huh:-)? Or is it?

Friends, I was thinking of my relationship with Christ and one thing that came to mind was a ring. I was astounded but God was trying to tell me something so I thought I sholud share. A ring has no end and no beginning right? So God whispered to me and said that is how it is with you and me. I was shocked and said, "But God, I only got saved 13 years ago?" And you know what, His response was perplexing! He said, "My child, you only accepted me 13 years ago but that doesn'y mean you weren't mine… Continue

PALETTE IN THE SKY

Soft, pastel-pink, aqua, sepia

Turning sharp, gold, striking

The sky is a willing canvass

Waiting to be kissed

By the palette of colours

Multi-shaded layers dapple the heavens

The pace of life is set to slow

Announced by the sleepy, restful sun

Her dying rays cast playful shadows

Open to interpretation!

Intriguing and mysterious

Creating an air of curiosity

Liquid gold outlines the classic oak tree

So…

Grace is Unbelievable, Really. Romans 5.19-21

Marvelous grace of our loving Lord,

Grace that exceeds our sin and our guilt!

        Yonder on Calvary’s mount outpoured,

There where the blood of the Lamb was spilt.1

Paul writes, ‘For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.  The law was brought in so that the trespass might…

My Christian Journey

As I was reading Matthew 6 this morning, I thought that I should pray Jesus's model prayer - the Lord's Prayer - everyday because it says "Give us today our daily bread."  (NIV).

As I was reading Genesis 15, it said "Abram believed the LORD, and it was credited to him as righteousness."  (NIV).  I should believe all of God's promises.  As I was reading Matthew 6, it says that when we give to the needy, we should do it in secret.  We shouldn't let everyone know about it.  It…

Do We Truly Trust God?

I have decided to post entries similar to what I am journaling about, or random quotes of encouragement so that people can see how God is working in my life, and maybe think about how God is working in yours.

So I've been reading a book called Crazy Love by Francis Chan.  I decided to write my thoughts on paticular parts that stuck out to me, or may have convicted me.

The section of the book I am reading is…

God v Science

God vs. Science

"Let me explain the problem science has with religion."  The atheist professor of philosophy pauses before his class and then asks one of his new students to stand.

'You're a Christian, aren't you, son?'

'Yes, sir,' the student says.

'So you believe in God?'

'Absolutely. '

'Is God good?'

'Sure! God's good.'…

A Love Song

February is a month of love. February 14 is approaching. For the people of God, everyday is a day of love. It is good that we have such an occasion to remind us about the importance of love relationship between a man and a woman. However, our thoughts should be directed to a higher kind of love. And that is why I decided to rewrite an old message about love to…

My Christian Journey

As I was reading Matthew 5 this morning, I thought about how I am the light of the world because I am a Christian.  This statement does wonders for my feelings of self-worth.

Also, I was reading that I am the salt of the earth since I am a Christian.  Things that I say may rub people the wrong way, but I am supposed to stand up for what is right.  I also am to not be angry with my brother, but am to love my brother.  I also am to love my enemies - those people who do mean…

Don't blame God . . . blame Adam. Romans 5.12-18

How many times have I heard, ‘I believe in God, sure, but that is as far as I can take it; I just can’t really trust a God who allows such suffering in the world—especially for those who don’t deserve it, like innocent children.’

One certainly cannot deny the presence of suffering in the world; pick up any newspaper, visit the neonatal floor of the hospital, morph into the funeral of a young Marine, whose widow is weeping …

Here’s our problem—to whom do we credit the…

Gaining the Wisdom of God

I think every Christian desires wisdom from God.  But they don’t get it because they don’t understand how to receive it.

In Psalm 51:6, we are told,

…in the hidden part You will make me to know wisdom.

When God communicates His wisdom to us, He does it in that secret part.  Whether it’s as we read His Word and a Scripture speaks to us, or whether the Holy… Continue

No title

"May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith in yourself and others. May you use the gifts that you have recieved, and pass on the love that has been given to you. May you be content with yourself just the way you are. Let this knowledge settle into your bones and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, praise and love. It is there for each and every one of…

IT IS ACCOMPLISHED.

Want to know the most motivating, soul-inspiring and liberating words ever uttered?

"IT IS ACCOMPLISHED."

In other words..."We made it kids. We made it."

No highly intellectual jargon or superlative expression intended to impress. Just a simple statement that declared the greatest victory in universal history...

Jesus' words on the cross are sacred in number and in meaning. Embrace the totality of those…

Division! it's what's killing us.

Fighting in Egypt, Iraq, and many other places around this globe seems to be the bulk of todays headline. Nothing good is part of our daily media exposure. I have to be frank with you when I say I'm torn from the masses of people that claim to be Christian's, but make non-Christ-like decisions related to our Government, Local authorities, or even countries in the west have banned the practice of Christianity.

What would it be like if we loved our neighbor as Christ loved…
