- My story with God
- It started way back in the second grade. No, I wasn’t “saved” but was hospitalized and the Drs. had given up on me. God didn’t as I slowly recovered. Mainly due to my parents prayers and many others in a whole town.
Grew up in a Methodist church and did all the churchy stuff.
But it wasn’t until some time later after living the “wild life” or partying, drinking heavy and basically not really caring much, that God called out to me in a small Old time religion preaching Baptist church and I accepted Christ into my life. This was in the 1980”s. Trail after trial since then and a period of non attendance and backsliding.
Then came 9-11-01 , time to rededicate and get serious. Started Wings of Faith and have been exploring home church without the religion. Then Cancer. Back in the hospital with lung cancer. Again the Doctors said I wasn’t leaving the hospital alive. But obviously did.
Now just try to reach people with Friendship, Fellowship and Restoration as we teach how to Believe, Belong and Become thru our ministry of Wings of Faith Fellowship. No religion just relationships with Jesus and each other.
Oh Yea there are a lot of details missing but I think you get the main idea anyway.

Well its back to work for me. No Social Security Disability even though I have anxiety disorder, depression, COPD, get out of breath fast and only 1 lung. Hebrews 3:6 but Christ was faithful as a Son over His house whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end.
Hebrews 4:14 Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.
Hebrews 4:16 Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 6:11 And we desire that each one of you show the same diligence so as to realize the full assurance of hope until the end.
Father God we come before you and thank you for the wonderful salvation that is ours through Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit help us to hold fast our confidence and the boast of our hope firm until the end. Help us to us hold fast our confession and draw near with confidence to the throne of grace to find mercy and help in our time of need and may we realize the full assurance of hope we have until the end.
