- My story with God
- Ever since I was a kid (younger than I am now) I had a problem with two major sins; (for me) witchcraft and homosexuality. I was raised in a very script Christian household and my mother did her very best to keep me away from what God didn't want for me. Yet, being hard-headed, I continue to dabble and go on being homosexual. I stepped away from my faith and got involved in Paganism and Wicca (I was about 14 at the time) and studied and practiced for many years, thought the entire time I knew what I was doing was wrong.
Then, one night I was laying in bed and suddenly I couldn't move. Mind you I was wide awake and I remember it like it was yesterday. I heard a voice(NOT in my head) full of power and strength, yet it was as soft as a breeze. It said, "This is NOT a game. You need to stop, if you don't you WILL Parish and be in the lake of sulfur."
Then I was in Hell.
I wasn't dead, and I hadn't been damned. But I was being shown what it would be like. I saw people, dirty, naked, wounded and screaming. They were forced to stand still in long lines that seemed to go on forever. It smelled horrible, and they stood on a ground that looked like it would break away at any moment.
The demons would play mind games with them, taunting them with the sins they'd committed, scaring them and hurting them. Though they were in lines, to them it felt like they were isolated and alone. There were cliffs ahead of them, and just beyond that you could see the glow of Heaven. To remind them what they could have had, had they simply followed what God asked of them.
Then I was in Heaven.
I wasn't actually IN heaven. I didn't see anything specific, but what I felt and saw was undeniable. I saw lots of bright colors, colors that were not here on earth, as well as bright blues, lavenders, and bright Gold and yellow. The feeling was as if everything good in the world was there, multiplied by enfinity. It was beautiful.
Then I was back in my body.
I cried, letting everything settle, but I still couldn't move, that is until I saw a man standing at the foot of my bed. I couldn't see his face, but I knew that it was Jesus without a doubt. I saw his white robe, and gold tie he had around his waist that hung down. I felt infinite love and compassion. He reached his had out to me and I felt a warmth flow over me, from my head to my feet, as if he were blessing me, taking my sins away. Then he was gone. And I cried and prayed my hardest.
It hasn't been an easy road since then, but my faith is always there. And it always will be here.
