Dear Rori; may God bless you in your mission and faith. With him all things are possible. I work about 45 min away from home. I listen to Christian CD's on my way into work. Nursing can be quite a challange for the Christian. We can minister to the sick, or we burn out and try to not let ourselves get involved. I pray each morning when I get to work to give me the courage to be strong in Christ and not let those competive nurses create conflict. Keep prayer in your daily plans, and God will always be with you. God bless you and all you do for your family. Mandy

Thank you for your friendship; I wish you well in what lies ahead. The road is always difficult. I find it interesting that you where a Catholic. I married a catholic and he was persistent to raise our faimly in such way. At first I let the issue come between us; then I realized how sad that was. So I do go to the Catholic church. I don't believe in all their practices either. But go to worship God any way and to pass on to my daughters the message. I teach my girls often the ways I learned and I qote them vs. from the Bible at night before bed and explain to them what they have meant to me. They went through the ritual of confession. However I told them that in the Bible it teaches how to ask God for forgiveness. I teach them from that. My eldest has turned 12 now and is in middle school, she wants to think she is a teen already and some of those difficulties of teen years are started now. I hope I say the right words and do the right things to lead her positively down the right path. With you having girls I am sure you know allot about this. Talk to you soon. Mandy

Hey Rori, sorry to take so long responding back. thanks for your comments. It sounds like you have gone through trials.

God loves you and will guide you through the trials. New Christian or not, we all have to reap what we sow in life and often those are the things that cause the "baseball bat effect" that you spoke of. God wants to deliver you from the desire for sin so sometimes he allows you to endure the reaping experience more than seems fair.

But, God is also your refuge and strength. When you humble yourself and trust in him, he will deliver you from those who would do you harm. Humble yourself before him and he will raise you up.

I miss you! I am here and Im totally excited that you are here! Praise God that I heard back from you! I knew He would bring you back sooner or later! There are always seasons where you need to put off all else to concentrate on the priorities of your life. I had to this summer. I got off AAG and had to concentrate on something else like my kids! Now Im back, but I am alot more balanced about it. You did the right thing and are doing all the right things for yourself and your family. You are giving all your time and energy to your family, but let me ask you this, and my spiritual mom asked me this, Do you give God your energy? Kind of a simple yet powerful question,right? Please make time for you and God. To just sit and talk with Him, cry out to Him, hold on to Him and cry like a father to a child. I didnt have much of a dad so its hard to do for myself, but I have to. Rori, you are going to collapse and die if you dont give yourself a break, and a good pat on the back that you are doing awesome!! You are a wonderful woman of God and are doing all the right things, but are you nurturing the most important relationship you could ever have an that is with your Father God? I have a hard time doing this consistantly, but Im trying. When I do sacrifice something else to be quiet with the Lord, a weight just lifts off of me and it feels so good. It feels as if God is doing the work for me and not me which is what he wants in the first place. I know you can do this. You have given me the same advice many times. Now its your turn. I love you and have missed you, but I knew all along that sooner or later you would be back around. Just in Gods time and now must be the time! Anyway, please keep in touch.
