I'm here to...
Communicate with Brothers and Sisters who believe as I do.
Interests:
God
My Family
I'm passionate about...
My Lord and Savior. My family. Witnessing to others the way God wants me too. Creating a world transformed into followers of Jesus Christ. Being the man God has created me to be. Walking in Love.
My story with God
I am a sinner. I am weak. But... God has touched my very soul. He has shown me his Love for me. I am moved every single day by his Love. When I look back over my life I see through my now open eyes how he has been there all along. I am moved to tears for how I have been to him. Yet his Love never ends. He has wiped away my tears and speaks softly to me. I Believe...I truly Believe the word he has given us. The Lord moves me to continue to transform until his work is done in me.
Other stuff about me:
I love to ride motorcycles. I love to travel and have been many places on this planet. I love my wife who is a gift from God. I love my daughter who also is a gift from God. I love my grandchildren. God has blessed me in so many ways. I focus on the "good" because it is what God wants. I face the bad because it is what God wants.

Yes I went to Gateway last weekend for the 3rd time. You know I have a neuromuscular problem that has left me with a lot of problems and in cronic pain for over 2 years. From the first time I went to the revival service 5-26 I have been feeling considerably better.
I was able to only get out once a week to church, but my hunger for God is greater than my physical problems. I am finding strength and vitality that I haven't had in a long while.
It is creating a real stir in my church as more and more people begin to embrace the moving of the Spirit.
A song that we sang there was we don't want blessing, we want you. I am not satisfied with anything any more but Him. I have spent many days drawing near to him lately. I really love having the Lord in my life, after 33 years He still thrills my soul.
I hope if you get a chance that you would go and check it out. Oh if you go for the afternoon session be prepared to go out on the streets to witness.
    Blessings
    Bob

Brother you have a wonderful heart for the Lord, that inspite of your obsticles you are facing that you continue to allow the lord to pour out through your life. When I read what you were going through I was touched deeply. This fight is not just yours, but ours also because we are all part of the body of Christ. 2 years ago when i went through a real time of struggle, it was then that I knew I could not stand a lone. Because you have shared your need now you are not
by yourself in this battle anymore. God is able to do more than we could imagine as we bind together to see the strongholds broken over our loved ones.
    In the love of Christ.

    THE ENEMY’S STRATEGY
Do you know how satan deceive the children of God?
Here are just some of his scheme that he use to
christian community. You can see how clever satan is
and christian must be aware of satan's schemes and
cleverness. be aware of it. You might already been a
victim of satan's scheme. Be on guard always! Learn
his schemes for you not to be caught unaware.

Satan called a worldwide convention of demons.
In his opening address he said,

"We can't keep Christians from going to church."

"We can't keep them from reading their Bibles and
    knowing the truth."

"We can't even keep them from forming an intimate
    relationship with their saviour."

"Once they gain that connection with Jesus, our
    power over them is broken."

"So let them go to their churches; let them have
their covered dish dinners, BUT steal their time, so
they don't have time to develop a relationship with
    Jesus Christ.."

"This is what I want you to do," said the devil:

"Distract them from gaining hold of their Saviour
and maintaining that vital connection throughout
    their day!"

"How shall we do this?" his demons shouted.

"Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and
invent innumerable schemes to occupy their minds,"
    he answered.

"Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow,
    borrow, borrow."

"Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and
the husbands to work 6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours
a day, so they can afford their empty lifestyles."

"Keep them from spending time with their children."

"As their families fragment, soon, their homes will
offer no escape from the pressures of work!"

"Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear
    that still, small voice."

"Entice them to play the radio or cassette player
whenever they drive." To keep the TV, VCR, CDs and
their PCs going constantly in their home and see to
it that every store and restaurant in the world
    plays non-biblical music constantly."

"This will jam their minds and break that union with
    Christ."

"Fill the coffee tables with magazines and
    newspapers."

"Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day."

"Invade their driving moments with billboards."

"Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order
catalogs, sweepstakes, and every kind of newsletter
and promotional offering free products, services and
    false hopes.."

"Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and
TV so their husbands will believe that outward
beauty is what's important, and they'll become
    dissatisfied with their wives. "

"Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at
    night."

    "Give them headaches too! "

"If they don't give their husbands the love they
need, they will begin to look elsewhere."

"That will fragment their families quickly!"

"Give them Santa Claus to distract them from
teaching their children the real meaning of
    Christmas."

"Give them an Easter bunny so they won't talk about
his resurrection and power over sin and death."

"Even in their recreation, let them be excessive."

"Have them return from their recreation exhausted."

"Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect
on God's creation. Send them to amusement parks,
sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies
    instead."

    "Keep them busy, busy, busy!"

"And when they meet for spiritual fellowship,
involve them in gossip and small talk so that they
    leave with troubled consciences."

"Crowd their lives with so many good causes they
have no time to seek power from Jesus."

"Soon they will be working in their own strength,
sacrificing their health and family for the good of
    the cause."

    "It will work!"

    "It will work!"

    It was quite a plan!

The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing
Christians everywhere to get busier and more rushed,
    going here and there.

Having little time for their God or their families.

Having no time to tell others about the power of
    Jesus to change lives.

I guess the question is, has the devil been
    successful in his schemes?

    You be the judge!!!!!

    New baby with proud Grandpa.
Thank you for your prayers. I am doing ok except for my pain problem I am always dealing with.

Today I had the privillage to lead my older sister Joyce to the Lord. I have just been getting use to my older brother getting saved last Dec. and now my sister.

I have one more brother Ricky, my youngest that needs to surrender to the Lord. I have another brother Raymond that is mentally retarded so He is already saved.
Once my youngest brother is saved my whole emediate family will be saved. It has taken 33 years, but God is faithful.
My Mom, my dad, my grandmother on my moms side are all in heaven and I was the first one saved in my family.
I can't wait for heaven to see so many I have been used to show the way to the Father.

I ask my sister this question. which one sin will keep us out of heaven? She said not going to church. then I told her that rejecting Jesus was the only sin that will keep people out of Heaven. It was like a light came on.
Praise God For his faithfulness and love.

    Oh my dear brother,

I have been a Joyce Meyer follower/listener, etc., etc. for quite some time now. Thank you for mentioning it though. After putting in a request from all of you wonderful people, things started changing deep within in just a matter of 30 minutes or so. Thank you for praying.

Hello journeyman, hope this finds you well, nice piece of iron you have there I've dug Harleys since I was a kid though I dont own one,(they are fairly pricey in OZ)I do have a couple of old trumpy's in the shed though. You say in your profile that you were a marine in Nam ,I have some mates where I live who served there too ,I was wondering if you knew of any information I could obtain that may be of use in bringing them closer to Christ,eg websites ,books ,testimonies?the sort of thing that would encourage a fellow like you say. These are great blokes so if you can help in any way it would be much appreciated.I would like to take this challenge seriously but subtley, you all have been through a lot,Gods speed and keep your knees in the breeze, Andrew.
  • The Shearer.

Thank you journeyman for asking me to be your friend ,I accept graciously.I can relate to what you were saying about feeling close to God while being on the bike ,it is a great buzz.Don't worry about our confusion, you would still have a better idea of where these blokes are coming from than I would and as long as we are sincere in our efforts God will help and guide us along the way ,all praise goes to Him .Thank you for your understanding and God bless,Andrew.
  • Carla

I am glad to accept your friendship. I look forward to getting to know you. Have a wonderful evening resting in Jesus.
  • Carla

Amen! Keep on spreading your Joy in the Lord as you are. It is a beautiful expression of God's Love, and reflection of Christ in your life.

Thank you so much for your prayers Journeyman, they won't go unnoticed. The job is going good so far ,though we are only in training mode at the moment, lots of paperwork and it is good to see that the mines here put safety at the top of the list in all areas.Should get a look at the trucks properly next week ,they are Caterpillar 777"s and also Cat articulated haul trucks, fairly big gear compared with what I am used to.Thanks again so much, may Jesus remain a strong ''light'' in your life and Gods speed for now,Andrew.

HELLO my brother! It is so nice hearing from you! I was pleased to have read, that you got into the WORD to see (about) who the "Word " is ( JOHN chapter; I ) Jesus; the Word who came in the flesh; son of the living God ( Our Abba Father: (Romans Ch. 8), Who came to give us life and that much more abaundantly. " What, would Jesus say? ' or " What would Jesus do?" are two key sentences I think of; because this is what makes us , as fallowers of Jesus Christ> die to <"Self", becoming less & less of the ," Me, myself and I">and more like Jesus: in His likeness,eh?
I was thrilled to have seen that you have a Harley which is one of my favourite bikes, although the only bike I ride is on the pathways with my grandson , Braeden, who will be 8 years old in December.
I live 15 minutes away( by car ) from Niagara Falls( Ontario), and one hour from Toronto ONT. where I was born many years ago.
I want to thank you for the compliment about my writing ( although I left one word out, of the short explanation of the Teardrop piece. Funny how our mind can have us think we see every word , even proof reading, eh? Keeps me humble! LOL! It happens all the time! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ! Anyway, I've written poetry since I was in grade 4 on & on. I've sang since I was 3 of age . And the songs I write are blessings from the Lord's music room as well. God given gifts, whom I give all the glory to.
Well, I must say goodbye for now. I must get to sleep as tomorrow morning comes early & I just started a new job on Monday which was God sent with having gotten an email from one of my ex - supervisors from my other place of employment that closed down July 23rd.
May the good Lord bless and keep you , as well as your family & friends. Linda

Psalm 28:8 The LORD is their strength, And He is a saving defense to His anointed.

Psalm 20:6 Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand.

Psalm 27:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The LORD is the defense of my life; Whom shall I dread?

Psalm 89:17 For You are the glory of their strength, And by Your favor our horn is exalted.

Psalm 140:7 "O GOD the Lord, the strength of my salvation, You have covered my head in the day of battle.

Father thankyou for your promices to your children in your Word, I praise you that today we will all find your grace and help in what ever situation we find ourselves in and be quick to give you praise for all the great things you are doing in and through our lives.
    In the love of Jesus.

Good to hear from you brother, i pray all is well with you and your family. God's grace helps us each day to face all the challedges that come. It is walking in the victory of the Lord Jesus that we leave a testimony to the power of the holy Spirit's work in us.

It is an honor to be your friend. The song "so close" was sent to me in video form by my friend Steve here on AAG. The song speaks to my heart and i am glad that you felt touched by it too. Music is to be shared and i am priviledged to do so.

    Psalm 100 >>
    Bible in Basic English
1 Make a glad sound to the Lord, all the earth.
2 Give worship to the Lord with joy; come before him with a song.
3 Be certain that the Lord is God; it is he who has made us, and we are his; we are his people, and the sheep to whom he gives food.
4 Come into his doors with joy, and into his house with praise; give him honour, blessing his name.
5 For the Lord is good, and his mercy is never-ending; his faith is unchanging through all generations.

We should always be keeping in mind the goodness of our God. For he is even kind to evil men, and to those who have hard hearts. Luke 6:35b

Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and tolerance and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?Romans 2:4

Then the LORD passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The LORD, the LORD God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;Exodus 34:6

It seems that we find it hard for us to comprehend the goodness of God. God shows His kindness to us when while we were still his enemies, then he sent Jesus Christ to die for us. His kindness and goodness provided a way for us to be saved. Jesus while He walked upon this Earth showed the world the kindness and goodness of God. His kindness and love to us frees us from the power of sin and death. May we remember to praise him for his goodness alway.

    FOR THE LORD IS GOOD

Thanks Journeymanhd for asking me to add you to my friends. I'm bowled over by the loving comments, suggestions, and welcome on this website.
Just right now I'm going through a lot of emotions for some reason, I'm not sure why. It could be because I'm too tired. I have been very active all this week, and this weekend and next week will be the same.
Fortunately I have some time today to relax and recharge the batteries.

One thing I have noticed since I joined is the spiritual support that I feel. This is very humbling and a great blessing.
I look forward to hearing from you so that I can pray for you as well.
