I will keep your friend and family members in my prayers. And yes, praying for the dead is something that we ourselves leave to the LORD's decernment; it is the living that we are called to focus on. Although in the siddur which is a Jewish Holy Prayer book from which Yeshua himself used ( from my understanding) there is actually a prayer in this book for the dead; however, in our Synague we teach that the prayer recited is for the living, and that is where the focus is directed.

Hi Christy, It is with deepest Christian love that I comment on your email entitled "Sorry". My Chatholic friends have a deep respect and love for Mary. Which is totally proper. For through them I too have discovered just how important Mary is in the scheme of God's plan. I think that God elevated the station of life for women when He chose a woman (Mary) to be the host through which His Beloved Son & our wonderful Savior was delivered to the world. How deeply Mary loved God, otherwise she would not have been chosen to be Jesus mother. However, we must not elevate Mary above God. For anything we bow down to is an image of worship. God alone is worthy of our worship. Even though it is hard for some Catholics to believe, (and I say this very kindly) Mary, too was a sinner. Not because of the things she might have done but, by reason of the fact that we are all Adam's children and are born with a sinful nature. Yes, you see, Mary needed a Savior, also. For the Word says "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God". As far as praying to Mary is concerned, may I point you to some scriptures that may help you. Ex. 20:4-5, Lev. 26:1, Deut. 4:16 Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female, verse 23, 25, - 5:18, 9:12, 16:22, 27:15. I trust that you will consider what the Word of God says and not be hurt by any thing that I have written here. With deepest Christian loveI pray for you, May God bless you in your walk with Jesus, Your Sister in Christ, Phebe (One of my favorite verses is Romans 12:5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.) When we have been born again we are all members of this wonderful body. Praise the Lord and one day we will all rejoice around the Throne.

I also began this long journey of faith as a Catholic. Now I allow the the Holy Scriptures to be my guide. I believe the Church triumphant, those saints in heaven pray for us not we for them.
Blessed Mary will be elevated by God for bearing the Messiah and setting an example as you correctly stated. But dear Joseph waited to have children with her after our Lord was born. Mary or Miriam was blessed Jewish girl waiting for the Messiah and was chosen by God to bear Him. She elevated purity but also motherhood by bearing our Lord's brothers, James and Jude. But dear sister Grace is given to us by Jesus Christ and He is the only Mediator needed.
We are saved by grace, kept by grace and empowered by the Holy Spirit to live our our life of faith and works by grace.

HEllo my dear and special friend.
My life is hectic just running from one job to another and I cant have enough time for my ministry here on the Net! I am working very hard and long hours but i shouldnt complain I have a job!! But i truely miss more time with my Father for I am really tired. I was in bed only for one day after food piosioning and have to be up and running again for i have to be back at work....

Dear Sister Christy Gabriel...
It's almost a month that you have shared your verses to be a bless for each day. I just can't thank you enough since it became reminders of how I should face each day in Christ the Lord. And recently I found that your letter included a reminder of how Mary as our mother in heaven can become a model of faith. Thanks, than I know that both Catholic and other Christians are growing in the same appreciation for the mother of God. Just remember that Jesus has given Mary to John as the mother in front of the Cross so to speak to us that we also can take her as our own Mother now in heaven as well, as for Mary to take John, means for us to be her children. Please be remembered too, it's Mary the mother of Jesus who were 100% faithful in following the road of the crucifixtion, even other disciples had run away, the average normal mother would just get fainted or wouldn't have enough courage or strength.
