hey Christy! its good to have you as a friend. looking foward to getting to know you! How are you my friend?
  • brateng

    Christy,

You are a winner by all counts. I remember those dark days when we used to pray together that the Lord blesses you back with your health before your day of departure for germany. For eight straight days, it seemed as though God had given us a deaf ear. When we nearly reached our end (our omega), He stepped in also through the prayer support of our friends here and initiated His beginning (His alpha)...and the hypertention just grew wings and flew away overnight!

It is under the same BLOOD that I know commend you as you begin your flight effective 1800 Indonesian time. Before my eyes, many passengers will disembark using that plane but although nobody else will realise it, an ambassadress of Heaven's Kingdom will be on-board: you my darling sister!

May your presence ensure the safety of those with you on the journey. Remember not to hide Christ's light in you...and shine forth His gospel at the slightest opportunity...even during the 14hrs of flight that you will be airborne!

All your friends here love you and they pray for you always. Very good friends we have here. We will miss you but delight in the fact that you are well and will be representing us and Christ to all those you will get to meet.

    Love you-Pst. Bernhard C.

    I’VE LEARNED…
I'VE LEARNED...that when you're in love it shows.
I've learned...that just one person saying to me, "You've made my day!" makes my day.
I've learned...that having a child fall asleep in your arms is one of the most peaceful
    feelings in the world.
I've learned...that being kind is more important than being right.
I've learned...that you should never say no to a gift from a child.
I've learned...that I can always pray for someone when I don't have the strength to help
    him in some other way.
I've learned...that no matter how serious your life requires you to be, everyone needs a
    friend to act goofy with.
I've learned...that sometimes all a person needs is a hand to hold and a heart to
    understand.
I've learned...that simple walks with my father around the block on summer nights
when I a child did wonders for me as an adult.
I've learned...that life is like a roll of toilet paper. the closer it gets to the end, the faster
    it goes.
I've learned...that we should be glad God doesn't give us everything we ask for.
    I've learned...that money doesn't buy class.
I've learned...that it's those small daily happenings that make life so spectacular.
I've learned...that under everyone's hard shell is someone who wants to be appreciated
    and loved.
I've learned...that the Lord didn't do it all in one day. What makes me think I can?
I've learned...that to ignore the facts does not change the facts.
I've learned...that when you plan to get even with someone, you are only letting that
    person continue to hurt you.
I've learned...that love, not time, heals all wounds.
I've learned...that the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with
    people smarter than I am.
I've learned...that everyone you meet deserves to be greeted with a smile.
I've learned...that there's nothing sweeter than sleeping with your babies and feeling
    their breath on your cheeks.
I've learned...that no one is perfect until you fall in love with him.
I've learned...that life is tough, but I am tougher.
I've learned...that opportunities are never lost; someone will take the ones you miss.
I've learned...that when you harbor bitterness, happiness will dock elsewhere.
I've learned...that I wish I could have told my Mom that I love her one more time before she passed
    away.
I've learned...that one should keep his words both soft and tender, because tomorrow he
    may have to eat them.
I've learned...that a smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks.
    I've learned...that I can't choose how I feel, but I can choose what I do about it.
I've learned...that when your newly born grandchild holds your little finger in his little
fist, that you're hooked for life.
I've learned...that everyone wants to live on top of the mountain, but all the happiness
and growth occurs while you're climbing it.
I've learned...that it is best to give advice in only two circumstances: when it is
requested and when it is a life-threatening situation.
I've learned...that the less time I have to work with, the more things I get done.

FOR I, THE LORD YOUR GOD, WILL HOLD YOUR RIGHT
HAND, SAYING TO YOU, "FEAR NOT, I WILL HELP
    YOU."
    ( ISAIAH 41:13 *NKJV )
We often face troubling times in our lives that
cause us to worry, and lose sleep. As a child of God you
have Him at your side, holding your hand, and guiding
your pathway through those times. For, THE LORD IS
    GOOD, A STRONGHOLD IN THE DAY OF TROUBLE;
AND HE KNOWS THOSE WHO TRUST IN HIM.
    ( NAHUM 1:7 )
He will never abandon HIS Children, throughout
their entire lives. For He is always with us no matter
what we may face, as He further promised: WHEN YOU
    PASS THROUGH THE WATERS, I WILL BE WITH YOU;
AND THROUGH THE RIVERS,* THEY SHALL NOT
OVERFLOW YOU. WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE
FIRE,* YOU SHALL NOT BE BURNED, NOR SHALL
THE FLAME SCORCH YOU. ( ISAIAH 43:2 )
[*Rivers and *Fire in the verse represent difficulties in our
    lives]
Therefore, FEAR NOT, FOR I AM WITH YOU; BE NOT
DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD. I WILL
STRENGTHEN YOU, YES, I WILL HELP YOU, I WILL
UPHOLD YOU WITH MY RIGHTEOUS RIGHT HAND.
    ( ISAIAH 41:10 )
So the next time you face troubling times, do as Jesus
said: "LET NOT YOUR HEART BE TROUBLED; YOU
BELIEVE IN GOD, BELIEVE ALSO IN ME." (JOHN 14:1)
Then WHEN YOU LIE DOWN, YOU WILL NOT BE
AFRAID; YES, YOU WILL LIE DOWN AND YOUR
SLEEP WILL BE SWEET. ( PROVERBS 3:24 )
Now have a great day walking hand and hand with God,
    friend! Amen.

    My Dear Christy,

I feel a little guilty because I have taken a whole two days without laying something on your page. It is not neglect...but yesterday I was away from work. This place surely looks a little cold without your presence....but am glad for the music plays on...

My friend, I was relieved to get your text informing me that you finally arrived safely in Germany. Praise and glory be to our God of Israel! He heard the prayers of His saints.

Your friends miss you. All of them are anxious to know how you are doing since you left, so soon after your miraculous recovery...when God answered their prayers. I am just going to post a small circular to let them know you are well...and that you checked in at an hotel room 507 (but whch hotel dear, you forgot to say!). must have been too exhausted from the jet-lag (14 hours of flight!)

I believe that both Angela and Henning are doing great and looking forward for their wedding! Pass them fondest love and my well-wishes. May their marriage be founded in Christ and the word of God. Give young Max a box in the ears for me-something tells me he will act spoilt now that granny is there within grasp!!! He must be lucky to have you for a grand-mom...lucky indeed.

That should be all for now dear. Will now inform your other friends. God bless and know we are with you even as you represent us there in the great land of the Hanns. Missing you-Pst. Bernhard C.

    Hey Christy,

Sorry it's been a minute or so sense last I communicated with you. How are you? What is the scene like in your part of the world?
I did so enjoy the video that you have on Ms. Winfry; and the pics of your family too adorable.
My husband has been talking quite a bit about visiting some of the countries in your part of the world. But, I must admit with the weather and such taking such dramatic turns, I am hesitant. I do love to travel, and I have been doing quite a bit sense I have married- - mainly here about the U.S, and we have made two trips to England. But long trips over water unnerve me a bit.
Enough about that tell who are the wonderful faces I see in your pictures? You also mentioned that you attend theological school?? What has that been about, and how are you implementing your training? I went for a brief stint to a Bible College called Elim, in upstate New York, the Lord then moved me on to other things; he said it wasn’t quite my time. So, now I am a stay at home wife, who is still finding out who her new husband is, and how God wants to use us. What ever He has in mind I feel excited for it.

    Meaningful Life
If you’ve never asked the question
Who or when or why or how
Give your mind that great suggestion
Go ahead and do it now

You will find when you consider
    All the options that abound
There is still but one conclusion
Where peace of mind is found

    It’s not in education
    In religion or in books
    In retirement funds and IRAs
    Or how the market looks

It’s not in status or in style
How low in golf you score
It’s not the running of a mile
    Or who you’re working for

It’s not the price you pay for things
It’s not the jewels and fancy rings
It’s not the checks and credit cards
Secured by all those guns and guards

It’s not the beauty of your face
It’s not a matter of your face
It’s not the muscle on your bones
Your classy looks or great skin tones

What matters most in life today
Is where you stand along the way
Not what you have but what you are
How faith in God succeeds by far

God is the answer to the question
Of the who, when, why or how
    And He gives the invitation:
‘TRUST IN ME AND DO IT NOW’’

You’ll find God meets your deepest need
With His kind words your soul He’ll feed
He guide your steps and makes things right
    He’ll turn darkness into light…..

    Hello Christy,

Greetings and love of christ...even in absentia! as you represent Christ in Germany together with Angela, may he be pleased in your labour of love. I still remember how you had to be there for your daughter notwithstanding the fact that you were still not very well.

Know that you are dearly missed here and that I long for the day when you will have completed all to come back here and fellowship with the brethren. christy, in case you read this, please pray for the Net because friends have been leaving AAG over flimsy reasons that can only be the work of the devil. Please pray that the unity that holds the trinity eternity together will flow forth and cover all those who are called by Christ's name.

Today was one of my happiest days because I spoke with you after a very long duration. Isn't Angela such a lovely daughter? God bless you all. With christ's fondest affection-Pst. Bernhard C.
  • brateng

    Hello Christy (and Angela!),

How blessed to hear from you dear! We all miss your fellowship here...but are happy for all of you because God has been good. We share your joy during this precious occasion and celebrate the wedding with you.

What can I say Christy? Nothing more...save for the fact that I would have delighted in visiting Paris with you! At least I could be your tour guide...for I speak French perfectly and was a connoiseur of champagne before I met Christ (lol). Would happily hold your hands and point out the Eiffel Tower for you while exclaiming "C'est magnifique Christy, voila!" And how about taking you for a walk in the Champs Elysees? Ooh la! la!, prepare yourself for Paris is a whole new world...and shine Christ's light to the world-loving frenchmen and women! It is why you are visiting there, remember.

Well, for greetings, be free to use, "bonjour..., comment allez-vous...or even salut!". To reflect the kindness of Christ, always remember to end your requests with 's'il vous plait' (meaning , 'please'). Ready for Paris (pronounced 'pahee')?

Bon voyage ma cherie et merci beacoup per tout! You are a sweet Moses and am honoured to be your Aaron!!!

With overflowing love of Christ-Pst. Bernhard C.

    I asked God…

I asked God to take away my pain
    God said, No
-it is not for me to take away,
But for you to give up.
I asked God to make my handicapped child whole
    God said, No
-Her spirit was whole, her body was only temporary.
I asked God to grant me patience
    God said, No
-patience is a by-product of tribulations,
It isn’t granted, it is earned.
I asked God to give me happiness
    God said, No
-I give you blessings, happiness is up to you.
I asked God to make my spirit grow
    God said, No
-you must grow on your own
but I will prune you to make you fruitful.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life
    God said, No
-I will give you life so that you may enjoy all things
I asked God to helped me LOVE others,
as much as He loves me
    God said…..
Ahhh, finally you have the idea.

    God loves You!

    One Step At A Time

One step at a time is the best way to go
When going through life and traveling in the direction of your dreams
The best way to get ahead is the simpliest way:
Take one step at a time
    Don’t look over your shoulder
If you do, you’ll feel the weight of all your yesterdays upon you
And don’t worry about what lies ahead
By the time you get to the bend in the road or the crest of the hill
You’re going to be better and stronger than you ever were before
Just go one step at a time
    One day at a time
And you’ll find a rich, thankful life you never thought you could afford….

What is Mission for the Rural People?

Mission for the Rural People is a team of committed men and women of God dedicated to helping children and the elderly in the Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh; SOUTH INDIA and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We welcome every Christian in our ecumenical mission. Mission for the Rural People is a registered organization.

Eight years ago we set up an orphanage in Vellatur, which is seven hours from Hyderabad by train. At the orphanage we help children abandoned by their parents. An ultimate goal for Good Samaritan Orphanage is to gather 100 helpless and unwanted children. The orphans come from slums, leper colonies, poor families and tribal villages. They come from the streets, rejected by their families and society and left to beg for the very necessities of their lives. In India about 40% of the population suffers because of starvation. They come to us for shelter, clothing, food, education, and the Gospel message. Our main goal is to help and educate poor and needy children. We are helping 58 children now, but this is just a small percentage of those who need help. We do not have any special financial support to run Good Samaritan Orphanage. Everything is funded by the generosity of people like you. We have managed to find sponsors for 26 children, but 32 of them still do not have any regular financial support. We welcome you to become a part of this ministry by supporting one of our orphans. We are living in a

rural area in very simple conditions, however our children are very skilled and together we create a big and happy family. We would like to ask you to help us by sponsoring a child. We call it adoption of heart.

    Hello Dear Sister
So happy to have you back. I pray that God's healing power will be with you and that you will grow from strength to strength. Our dearest Brother Brateng helped us all to hold your arms up (like Moses) in your trying times.

Just know that God is faithful and His Son, Jesus Christ, will hear all your pleas for help...

I also suggest that when tension comes into your life that you try to lie down and you meditate upon His word. Even if you repeat a piece from His Wonderful Book like Psalm 23.... Just try to relax so that your blood pressure becomes normal.

I think you are a very sensitive and intense person and you must let go and let God... Don't worry so much! I am like that too and I am fighting against sensitivity. Through God's strength which He freely gives us you and I can become stronger and calmer...

Just know that you are loved and be blessed
