Jesus is not the same as God, He is God. He is a member of the Godhead.
"In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God...In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth...And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us."
Words taken from Genesis 1:1 and John 1: 1,2,14.
Perhaps you are asking rather is Jesus the same as God the Father or God the Spirit.
John 10:30 Jesus said, "I and the Father are one."
John 17:20-21 He also said, "My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in Me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as You are in Me and I am in You. May they also be in Us so that the world may believe that You have sent Me."
