Sorry if someone ask me , i really dont know the answer, the answer above is "just my own thinking". Maybe they can read the Bible and see it for themselves. No one comes from the heaven except the Lord Jesus in the Bible so He knew that , what it was. And me ofcourse i dont know, i never came from heaven i Just reading a bible and have "some" or "opinion" judgement about our God . Im not in authority or permission to answer that

These are very interesting thoughts, but I am not sure that I totally understand. If someone were to ask you, "How can I go to Heaven?" How would you answer?

Hi, alan

I never knew all the Bible verses or Chapters regarding S-alvation and S-in but the rule what i know was, the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil according to the Old Testament was, when your conscience knows it or your mind is aware or there was an Intention or Malice, we, you or I committed a Sin which result on non- Salvation. Or by reading the Gospel about "Lord Jesus Salvation things" or when there are more in Old and New Testament, For me it was simple that even you knew a one thing that becoming Salvation for you and you had faith, trust or believe in God you will be S-aved. Or sight all the Verses or Chapter in the Bible make it One or Analyze it which is which like a puzzle choose or gather and build it to One that operates the True meaning in the Bible.. after this if im not becoming a lazzy i will try to sight some verses and put in it, but my advice for your own sake "Just believe or Trust yourself" when you read the Bible about Salvation and and O-ur God will do the rest.Amen
Hi Alan,

Hi Alan,

I assume when you are saying 'conflict' you are not insinuating 'contradiction'??

Now, to clarify for Raven, a new believer who has recently come to Christ, and many others who will read this, it's important to be careful how we express these things. James is correcting a misuse of what Paul was teaching. Paul wasn't teaching it wrong or incorrectly, his listeners were abusing the freedom of God's Grace he was telling them about... that still happens today…

Hi Alan,

I assume when you are saying 'conflict' you are not insinuating 'contradiction'??

Now, to clarify for Raven, a new believer who has recently come to Christ, and many others who will read this, it's important to be careful how we express these things. James is correcting a misuse of what Paul was teaching. Paul wasn't teaching it wrong or incorrectly, his listeners were abusing the freedom of God's Grace he was telling them about... that still happens today and it's very damaging to the church.

In short, people were using Paul's teaching of God's 'Grace' as a license to keep sinning. They were starting to believe that they could live however they wanted if they were saved by Grace alone. In fact we are saved by Grace alone, but that is not a license to sin. Even though people would abuse this, Paul was never deterred from teaching it because it's true. So, the question is, how do we reconcile this with what James teaches? The answer is that Faith works thru love. We see in Galatians 5:6 "6 For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love."Paul is not saying here that Faith works with a layering of love (good works) on top of it. Paul is saying, in agreement with James, that faith gives us right standing with God, and the love that comes from our faith naturally shows that our faith is real. James was trying to express that he wanted people to have a real genuine faith which in outpouring is reflected by loving acts... Not that those loving acts would save us, but that those loving acts just prove that our faith is genuine.

I could go on and on, but just wanted to offer clarification before any confusion tries to makes it's ugly appearance, as we know that confusion is not from God.

Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that we should not study, read and apply the book of James to our lives. What I am implying is that there are some things in James that are in conflict with Paul's writings. The main issue is salvation. Paul taught that we are justified by faith alone where James taught the we are justified by faith plus works. Peter and James started their ministries preaching to the Jews. Paul taught that we are justified by faith alone where James taught the we are justified by faith plus works. Peter and James started their ministries preaching to the Jews. Paul was sent to the Gentiles. It wasn't until much later that Paul confronted and corrected Peter (& disciples) that justification is by faith alone. They finally agreed with Paul. You will see this in Acts and Galatians. remember, the book of Acts spanned for about a 40 year duration. When you read James, don't fly over the first verse without understanding who the audience is. I am sorry that this is so brief and vague, we can discuss more thoroughly if you would like.

I look forward to any input that you have, again, this is an important topic, maybe the most important of all! Years ago I had 3 questions that I had to answer for myself.

1). What is salvation?

2). How can I get it?

3). Can I lose it once I attain it?

These questions are so important in understanding our spiritual identity. The answers are so important that if you answer incorrectly, you may not even have received the salvation that you thought you did. For me,…

These questions are so important in understanding our spiritual identity. The answers are so important that if you answer incorrectly, you may not even have received the salvation that you thought you did. For me, understanding that Paul was the apostle that was sent to the gentiles was huge in understanding the Bible. Some of the things written in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, James, etc. were not written directly to the Body of Christ (in the Grace age period) to live by. So, understanding who the author is, who they were writing directly to, when it was written and understanding the culture of the people in that day and place is vital to understanding scripture. I have learned a lot by talking with people like yourself who question things and want a deeper understanding of scripture. So, keep up the fellowship!

My salvation doesn't come by anything that I did and I can't lose my salvation by doing or not doing anything. The only way for me to gain salvation is by putting my faith in the simple fact that Jesus shed His precious blood to take the punishment which I deserve. I can't lose this salvation that was given to me by God's work not mine, unless somehow I change my faith.
Maybe if I fall from Grace (putting faith in myself or something other than the Gospel of Grace as a means of salvation). I have never for one second done this. I put my faith in this many years ago, and have not left, not even for a second. To me, this is evidence that God is doing what He promised, sealed me with His Holy Spirit and never will leave me. He died on the cross and forgave the world from sin once and for all, not every time we ask Him. (Research Hebrew culture and blood sacrifices, also the book of Hebrews itself). This would put the glory back on us because if we were good enough to confess perfectly then we could be saved by our works. Now, to be saved we must confess that we are sinners. Otherwise, how can you be saved by God if you don't need saving? If you can do it yourself, you have it covered. Once you are saved though, you have been forgiven of all your sin(s) past, present and future! I guess the question that we have to start with is, what exactly is my faith in? This could vary drastically on things like, what version am I reading, and how am I reading the Bible? As an example, is the book of James written directly to the Church? This is an important topic to talk about!
