Well, this morning I turned on a lamp (candle), went to church (contemplated the spiritual aspects of life...or focused on worshipping God), went to mom's and gathered with my brother and daughter (spent time with family), prayed in a circle holding hands before eating (the blessing), and we had 2 packages of rolls (2 loaves), played cards and talked (freedom from the regular labors of every day life), and I'm at my daughters where we'll have our evening meal.

Along the line of Eric's comments, I too love the Lord with all my heart, soul and being. But you seem to be saying that anyone who doesn't observe the Sabbath in the manner you believe is required, that we don't love Him as you do.

Many members of my church and family have spent from 2 weeks to several months in Ghana, Honduras, Nigeria, etc., and these are the ones you said have it hard and seemingly imply they know how to follow God. Yet I've not known any of them to observe the Sabbath.

I have, many times over, and pray for understanding when I do. And nowhere in the Commandments does it say to observe a certain day or do anything particular that day.
The Sabbath is a day of rest. It's not a specific day to attend church. And if God wanted us to rest on a particular day of the week, He'd have said so. I note that He said 7th...the 7th day of the week. Which day is the 7th? He didn't say. Following the letter was not His intent. That's why He gave us the two greatest commandments which sum up all 10. He wants our hearts, not robots.
Watchman, my only concern wit…tag:www.allaboutgod.net,2017-07-23:1383940:Comment:17384162017-07-23T04:25:34.818ZCarlahttp://www.allaboutgod.net/profile/CarlaButler777

Watchman, my only concern with what you're saying is that you seem to be making it legalistic and therefore condemning. You seem to be saying that a person's salvation depends on it. I think I see your point that obedience to the Lord's commands shows what's in our hearts. In other words, a person who loves the Lord will naturally obey Him. I caution you however, as you seem to be walking a fine line towards legalism.
