I will be praying for you both my friend. The Lord's prayer is a very good prayer. Given to us by Jesus let your heart and mind dwell in prayer from him. I can sense your great pain and have felt the very same way at times. God will comfort you. God will bring you to the best for you and your Dad.
My heart is with you.
This might be a little heavy, or strong for you at this time of your need, and not knowing how versed you are in the Word, but I know it is very hard to believe we are healed, delivered, and possess all things we need when we are hurting so bad that we can’t think straight, and God and His promises, and provision seems to be just a fairy tale, and God seems to be so far away, and maybe God just doesn’t hear my prayers, BUT, we must put our trust in His Word, the bible is God speaking to us, we like to hear the audible voice of God, however the word is God speaking us, we put the audible voice to it. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God, the same was in the beginning with God… So we need to believe, and receive the bible as God speaking to us directly, and rest in the finished work of Christ. Now 2 Peter 1:22 Peter 1:2-11 (KJV) 2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, 3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: 4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. 5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; 6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; 7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity. 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins. 10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall: 11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ…
16-21 (KJV) 16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 18 And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Mark 11:24 (KJV) 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Titus 1:2 (KJV) 2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
Now, if we believe that God promises that He has given (past tense) to us all things that pertain unto life and godliness through the knowledge of Him, and God cannot lie, then we need to just rest in Him, to rest in Him, means to have confidence in Him, and His Word, these things are given to us by God’s grace, but we appropriate them by faith. To appropriate: TO TAKE EXCLUSIVE POSSESSION OF, OR TO ANNEX
Lot more I can say, but need to go for now, My prayer for you is in Ephesians 1:17-23 (KJV) 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
