1 Corinthians 7:22 King James Version (KJV)

22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.

1 Corinthians 7:22

Webster 22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's free-man: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.

These are my thoughts.

We are the Lord’s when we are called both free and slave can go to Christ and make Him Lord of their life.

1 Corinthians 7:22 (NIV)

22 For the one who was a slave when called to faith in the Lord is the Lord’s freed person; similarly, the one who was free when called is Christ’s slave.

The person who is in a state of being own by another, a slave, when called becomes free from within.

Christianity has the power to bring about social change, but the power of the Gospel is demonstrated by giving freedom to people where it counts most, within.

The person who is not a slave, becomes the slave of God, for being slaves of God is were our interior freedom is found.

1 Corinthians 7:24 King James Version (KJV)

24 Brethren, let every man, wherein he is called, therein abide with God.

1 Corinthians 7:24

Webster 24 Brethren, let every man in the state in which he is called, continue in it with God.

These are my thoughts.

This is not saying we are to remain in lifestyle of sin but is saying that we are be content to work where the Lord has us and where He has us is where we serve.
