I believe God puts things out there and He is answering and guiding us all the time. Are we listening? Sometimes yes and sometimes no. The will of God has been a question for me forever.

http://www.chipbrogden.com/the-ministry-of-one-anothering/

But the above article hit me like a ton of bricks. And I want to share. and love to hear feedback and comments.

Because if you help with what you have where you are; no one will suffer or go without? Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind. And love your neighbor.....

Neighbor definition:

a person or thing near or next to another - Not in the mega church, a famous evangelist etc....

So I am thinking - I am looking for this big thing to do - find my purpose for life. That is the problem isn't it? My purpose for life. Not Gods will.

If I sit where I am now: mom of 3 , wife, sister, daughter, daughter in law, work colleague, friend, cousin; I have a purpose where I am. To be a God fearing, loving woman in the roles I already have.

I don't need a stage or lights. Stages are for actors - one who behaves as if acting a part. I don't want to act. I want to be who I am made to be.

So this got me thinking: IF each of us lived where we are now, fulfilled this role where we are - we all would have a neighbor there for us willing to help and love and strengthen us. Our families would be stronger. Because dad would be home fulfilling his role - not that career and status to keep up the jones house and expenses. Mom would be home loving and teaching her young. wife would be home loving and supporting her husband. Once our families are in tact - Our community will intact. God created family - the devil is trying hard to break it up.

Intact?

untouched or unimpaired; left complete or perfect

Because we are of God - we were made to serve others. Not our self. To become like that you have to be more of Jesus and less of you. You must crucify who you are; who the world is with you. Fulfill your divine date and purpose with Jesus dead bang center

Because through His sacrifice to die for us HE left us .... and it is a gift

untouched or unimpaired; left complete or perfect

Life is simple really isn't it - if we do it Gods way. Serve and Love and God will be there; always. His blessings will be showered on you. He will fetch you when the time comes and take you home. Because that is all that matters. And because we truly learn to really love one another like Jesus loved us - we want our neighbors and brothers and sisters to come home with us.. So I want to shine Jesus light - not that Vegas flickering light that is not forever and for eternity. I want my light to shine - not the torch I lit up but my daily doings be my witness of who I am becoming - transformed by Christ.

What you do everyday is who you are....

So every day seek to be radically obedient, pray continuously, live faithfully, work wholeheartedly, praise God, suffer humbly, love unconditionally and serve selflessly. Our home is not here. This is not the end of the story God has written for us. I am here to take as many with me home to God as I can.

And it starts in my home where I am with what God has already place in my hands. Not that big job, studies, fancy pin interest perfect mom. But the mother of children who knows and loves God, the wife of man that doesn't doubt and lives in faith. The daughter of a mother who is taken well care of in her old age. The colleague who humbles themselves at work to be the least and stand corrected and be humble.

If I can do this I am sure I have found my purpose?

Because if you can deal with what you have now - you will deal with what God has in store for you. As each life and day is there to shape you for what He has in store for you. And you might become a well reknowed writer or NOT. But if you live God first, husband, children, family and work (in this order) - I am sure you will get it right.

Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength" For with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26) So when God is calling you to do something for Him, do it, putting your trust in God and you will experience total victory.. OBEDIENCE is very important. The reason why Israelites are being defeated by their enemies is because of their disobedience to God.

Thus I confidently say that "Obedience Brings Us Total Victory!"

Although she was scared to death she went with a group and they faced this tremendous cliff of rock.

Practically perpendicular. In spite of her fear, she put on the gear and she took a hold of the rope and she started up the face of that rock.

Well, she got to a ledge where she could take a breather.

As she was hanging on there, whoever was holding the rope up at the top of the cliff made a mistake and snapped the rope against Brenda's eye and knocked out her contact lens.

You know how tiny contact lenses are and how almost impossible to find.

Well, here she is on a rock ledge, with who know how many hundreds of feet behind and hundreds of feet above her.

Of course, she looked and looked and looked, hoping that she would be able to find that contact lens. Here she was, very far from home. Her sight was now blurry.

She was very upset by the fact that she wouldn't be anywhere near a place where she could get a new contact lens. And she prayed that the Lord would help her to find it.

Well, her last hope was that perhaps when she got to the top of the cliff, one of the girls that was up there on the top might be able to find her contact lens in the corner of her eye.

When she got to the top, a friend examined her eye. There was no contact lens to be found. She sat down with the rest of the party, waiting for the rest of them to come up the face of the cliff.

She looked out across range after range of mountains, thinking of that Bible verse that says, "The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth." She thought, "Lord, You can see all these mountains. You know every single stone and leaf that's on those mountains and You know exactly where my contact lens is."

Finally, the time came when it was time to go down.

They walked down the trail to the bottom. Just as they got there, there was a new party of rock climbers coming along.

As one of them started up the face of the cliff, she shouted out, "Hey, you guys! Anybody lose a contact lens?"

Well, that would be startling enough, wouldn't it? She had found the contact lens!

But you know why she saw it? An ant was carrying that contact lens so that it was moving slowly across the face of the rock.

What does that tell you about the God of the universe?

Is He in charge of the tiniest things? Do ants matter to Him? Of course they do. He made them. He designed them.

Brenda's father is a cartoonist. When she told him this incredible story, he drew a picture of that ant lugging that contact lens (as you see in the comics with a balloon with words in it over his head) with the words: "Lord, I don't know why You want me to carry this thing. I can't eat it and it's awfully heavy. But if this is what You want me to do, I'll carry it for You."

If God is in charge of the ants, don't you think He cares about you and me?

I guess Solomon was right. One could learn a valuable lesson from that ant -- trust in God.

We could probably all say a little more often, "God, I don't know why you want me to carry this load. I see no good in it and it's awfully heavy. Still, if you want me to, I'll carry it for You."
Faith is being idle or putting action ??tag:www.allaboutgod.net,2013-06-30:1383940:Topic:14727282013-06-30T21:11:40.421ZPastor Bob Bhttp://www.allaboutgod.net/profile/BobBushman

Talk about a person caught in a storm! Jeremiah could tell you the height of the waves and the speed of the wind. He realized how fast he was sinking, so he shifted his gaze. “But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is thy faithfulness. ‘The Lord is my portion,’ says my soul, ‘therefore I will hope in him’” (Lam 3:21-24 RSV). When Jeremiah turned his eyes away from the waves to look to God, he started to recite a quintet of promises: (1) “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases.” (2) “His mercies never come to an end.” (3) “They are new every morning.” (4) “Great is your faithfulness.” (5) “The Lord is my portion.” The storm didn’t cease, but Jeremiah’s discouragement did. Paul talks about “speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” (Eph 5:19 NKJV). Great hymns are a great help. They help you to get your eyes on the One who walks on the water and calms the storm. “Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my father; There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not; As Thou hast been, Thou forever wilt be. Great is Thy faithfulness! Great is Thy faithfulness! Morning by morning new mercies I see. All I have needed Thy hand hath provided; Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!”
Who's on board with you?tag:www.allaboutgod.net,2013-06-02:1383940:Topic:14632962013-06-02T00:22:31.188ZPastor Bob Bhttp://www.allaboutgod.net/profile/BobBushman

“I believe God will do exactly what he told me.” Ac 27:25 TM

Robert Schuller was on a cruise ship in the Coral Sea when the captain announced they were about to navigate a very narrow and dangerous crevice. They needed at least thirty feet of water to get through and avoid running aground. Just then a small motorboat approached and on deck was a captain from Australia. As he boarded the big ship, the crew saluted and stepped aside to let him take the helm. This man specialized in maneuvering big ships through small spaces, and because of his expertise they made it through without a problem. There’s an important lesson here. Before you get caught in life’s storms make sure Jesus is at the helm, and that you know who your traveling companions are. In the midst of a gale that threatened to sink their ship, Paul stood up and announced, “Take heart. I believe God will do exactly what he told me.” Paul had confidence because he knew who the real Captain was that day. He never doubted for a moment that God would honor His promise to save him, and everyone on board. When you go through storms that shake your faith you need people who know what the Word of God says; people who believe that God will “do exactly” what He said no matter how bad the circumstances look. Such friends are few and far between, and they’re precious. If you have one or two of them in your life today you’re blessed. So thank God for them.
A Word To Single Parent!tag:www.allaboutgod.net,2013-05-30:1383940:Topic:14625342013-05-30T11:14:43.025ZPastor Bob Bhttp://www.allaboutgod.net/profile/BobBushman

Are you struggling to raise children on your own? If so, teach them these three principles. As you do, they’ll be reinforced in you. You’d be surprised how many instructors learn while they teach. So: (1) Teach them how to love imperfect people. Let them know that loving is a risk, but it’s worth taking. Hearing you say that will help them to grow up and not become cynical because of what they’ve been through. Explain that when you love people, you must love what’s good and accept what’s still under construction. And it’ll save them heartache if you teach them that sometimes we’ll disappoint each other, and that God’s remedy for this is, “Love covers over a multitude of sins.” (2) Tell them that the future can be better than the past. We are fueled by the past, but fuel only works when it’s combusted into another form. So allow the pain of the past to fuel your future with compassion, wisdom and hope. Many of the people we admire have experienced failure. This year’s winner was last year’s runner-up. So learn from your mistakes and seize the new day. Once you do that, “All things are possible” (Mt 19:26 NKJV). (3) Show them how to adapt to change. When you get stuck in the past, it’s always at the expense of the future. After the initial shock is over and your anger has dissipated, start making plans. Draw closer to God and decide to live again. Don’t get stuck in a stage that was just meant to be part of a process. This too shall pass; let it!

I’m either up, or I’m getting up. I’ve learned not to park in between.” Although feeling down is universal, sociologists warn us to guard against its two most common causes: fear and fatigue. Let’s look at them:
Fear: When Edomite armies marched against Israel’s king, fear gripped him and his nation. Feeling powerless, they feared losing their God-given land and possessions. If the stress of the last few years has left you feeling fearful, do what Israel’s king did. He turned to God and prayed: “Whenever we are faced with any calamity…we can…stand in your presence…We can cry out to you…and you will hear us and rescue us” (v. 9 NLT). Don’t let fear cause you to abandon your hope and your vision. Instead, stand in God’s presence, cry out to Him, and watch Him rescue you. Throughout the Old Testament God reminded Israel of His track record of goodness. He wanted them to remember it and take courage. But sometimes fear would cloud their memory and they’d begin to doubt. Sound familiar? So He told them, “Do not be…discouraged…the battle is not yours, but [mine]” (v. 15 NIV). In other words, “You don’t have to defeat the foe, that’s My job. I’m in charge; trust Me to work it out.” So remember Who’s in control of your circumstances today. Stand in His presence; believe His promise!
Keep Your Vision Alive!tag:www.allaboutgod.net,2013-05-28:1383940:Topic:14611492013-05-28T14:51:19.667ZPastor Bob Bhttp://www.allaboutgod.net/profile/BobBushman

The Pilgrim Fathers who founded America landed at Plymouth Rock full of vision. The first year they established a town, the next year they elected a town council. In their third year the town council proposed building a road five miles out into the wilderness for westward expansion. But the townspeople criticized it as a waste of public funds. Amazing! Once they had been able to see across oceans to new worlds, now they couldn’t see five miles down the road. What happened? They failed to keep their vision alive. How can you keep that from happening to you?
(1) Keep your vision before you at all times. “Write the vision and make it plain…that he may run who reads it” (Hab 2:2 NKJV). Your vision is the road map for your life. So write it down, read it regularly and keep it before you at all times. (2) Make sure the vision is yours, not somebody else’s. In the name of being “sensible,” or “practical,” many of us ignore our God-given desires. We undertake a career to please our parents, our spouses, or others. That may make you dutiful, but it won’t make you successful. You cannot fulfill a vision that is not your own! (3) Believe in yourself even when others don’t. You may succeed if nobody else believes in you, but you will never succeed if you don’t believe in yourself. No matter how old you are, always stay young at heart. Pearl S. Buck said, “The young do not know enough to be prudent, therefore they attempt the impossible, and achieve it generation after generation.”
