Dear All,

I am writing to ask that you consider the following message and that you support me through this difficult process as fellow Christians.

It was only when going through a very difficult and traumatic time that allowed me to suddenly find faith in God.

It was due to this religious persecution resulting from this belief in God that made me become wrongly sectioned under mental health.

The poor treatment by NHS made the trauma worse where I have been gravely misdiagnosed where no symptoms were present for the condition (First episode Psychosis). I have never had any other mental health problems that had been reported and this overall decision can't be challenged easily as a patient.

However, due to the situation, Leicestershire Hospitals Trust refuses to admit that it was at fault in sectioning me due to fear of losing their position. I am also very worried about the attached side effects of the medication that I am being forced to take as linked below:

https://www.drugs.com/sfx/aripiprazole-side-effects.html

Please may I ask that you submit a formal complaint as they will take your concerns seriously. As a fellow Christian, I trust you understand that this is the correct decision. I am currently being held by the Leicestershire Partnership Trust where the complaint form has been linked below:

https://www.leicestershospitals.nhs.uk/patients/patient-welfare/patient-information-and-liaison-service/contact-form/

The religious persecution Christians is a global issue that is present in developed countries such as the United Kingdom as demonstrated, Please may I ask that you all support me in getting discharged.

I ask that you involve all your friends and family to support me as this is a global issue that needs to be resolved for all of us.

Many Thanks

Paul

I know my topic had been up here way too many times.
Hello,

I know my topic had been up here way too many times.

I attend Catholic Church for the sake of keeping my family together (long story short, I ended up believing that the last thing God wants is for my family to split every Sunday).

Sorry, I'm not that good in English language, I hope you understand my point and I hope not to upset anyone. I have no-one to talk to.

My daughter is due to start catechism I went to church like every Sunday and in the evening I decided to go to confession, something I don't normally do. I just wanted to chat with the priest, I still don't know why I told him, among other things, that sometimes I feel like an hypocrite to either myself or God. That there are certain things in Catholic Church I couldn't do, and that the way the Bible was revealed to me was different in many aspects.

I told him that I normally communicated to God through Jesus and that I did not "use" Mary or saints to get to Him, I regretted it instantly. The priest wasn't happy and I understand but the worst was that he said to me that God doesn't speak to me or to anyone, that he always used prophets and that it was the same the other way around. So when the people in the wedding wanted more wine, they did not ask Jesus directly but Mary, that Mary agreed to be Jesus' mother because of her free will so we need to look up at her because if it wasn't for her Christ would not have come. That he didn't need to convince me of anything.

For some reason, I feel really bad now, I am pretty tired of the whole thing and of not wanting to offend my Catholic husband, I'm so tired, sad, confused, etc. And then I do not want all these prefabricated stories to be fed to my daughters.

I feel very lost right now. And here we go.tag:www.allaboutgod.net,2016-09-16:1383940:Topic:17138202016-09-16T15:58:43.323Zthewatchmanhttp://www.allaboutgod.net/profile/puritanwatchman

When churches began in the homes after Jesus' ascension, what would they teach from? We have the entire Word to speak on today but all they had was the OT. They had a few that had witnessed Christ & I'm sure they shared those things but they didn't have the letters or the gospels. So, what did they use?

I've been so busy I haven't kept up here, but I wanted to pose a question that I will also pose in the forums.
I wanted to check out the beliefs of a local church that is closer to home where a family member attends.

Everything seemed to be good until I read their stand on gifts.

We believe that God is sovereign in the bestowing of his gifts, and that these gifts are intended to edify the Church. We believe that the gifts of healing, tongues, interpretation of tongues, performance of miracles, and other gifts associated with the charismatic movement were temporary, sign gifts that are no longer needed after the completion of the New Testament and therefor are not practiced in the Church today. We do believe that the sick may call on the elders of the Church to administer anointing oil and to pray for them. God is the great and divine healer and does hear and answer prayers of faith in accordance with His will for the sick and afflicted.

Where does scripture tell us the gifts were only temporary? How can one say the believe God bestows gifts but then say....except these?

A lot of churches hold this belief, but I've always heard the reasoning as being they "believe" (they believe they were only for the 12 or only for a time...though Paul spoke in tongues but wasn't one of the 12). What I haven't seen is any of them say...this is what scripture says.

So if we say the Bible is truth and the Bible says God gives the gifts of prophesy, tongues, healing, etc., aren't we saying God's Word isn't true?

Isn't it more plausible to believe that people's trust and belief in miracles has grown dim rather than God only giving temporary gifts while saying they follow everyone who believes rather than just the New Testament saints? Paul's message to the Corinthianstag:www.allaboutgod.net,2015-06-15:1383940:Topic:16400482015-06-15T12:58:48.727ZSeekhttp://www.allaboutgod.net/profile/Seek

I have not seen a church today that doesn't invite people to attend in order to reach the unsaved. Or that feel God is going to clean up the newly saved and He will sanctify. Scripture even tells us that it is God who is able to make them stand. Even my own church holds these beliefs. So...could someone offer their insight into this

1 Corinthians5 1 It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: A man is sleeping with his father’s wife. 2 And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have gone into mourning and have put out of your fellowship the man who has been doing this? ….

…5 hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord….

…9 I wrote to you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people— 10 not at all meaning the people of this world who are immoral, or the greedy and swindlers, or idolaters. In that case you would have to leave this world. 11 But now I am writing to you that you must not associate with anyone who claims to be a brother or sister but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or slanderer, a drunkard or swindler. Do not even eat with such people.

12 What business is it of mine to judge those outside the church? Are you not to judge those inside? 13 God will judge those outside. “Expel the wicked person from among you.”

This seems to say two things to me. First that we’re not told to not associate with the unsaved, but to not associate with the saved acting wickedly and to put them out of the church. And secondly, it speaks of God judging those outside the church and us judging those inside. That seems to say that only the saved should be inside in the church, should be gathering together with believers.
Tithingtag:www.allaboutgod.net,2015-05-14:1383940:Topic:16310212015-05-14T23:44:36.788ZHelen Williamsonhttp://www.allaboutgod.net/profile/HelenWilliamson

Just wondering if everyone here feels that tithing is a New Testament mandate. I cannot find one example of anyone in the NT who actually tithed. I find a lot about generosity, alms, offerings and giving but nothing about tithing.
